To the girl who wants the quality photos, the memorable experience, and to feel confident and beautiful during senior photos but feels a bit overwhelmed and unsure about choosing a photographer to check all of those boxes—hi, I’m Sierra! I’ve specialized in senior portraits for over a decade and here’s why you can feel confident that your senior picture goals will be met with me:

Quality- this comes down to so much more than having professional gear (which for the record, I do 😉). Even while we’re laughing and joking and having a great time, inside my head is a constant rapid fire of assessments—which direction to face you so the sun hits just right. What settings to switch on my camera to make sure your images turn out. Whether or not we need the reflector for an extra pop of light. So much technical skill that comes with many years of practice that you won’t even know is happening bc I’ll probs be cracking a corny joke and tripping over sticks at the same time. 😀

Fun/Memorable Experience: Knowing how to make it memorable means first knowing what NOT to do. Senior pictures with me will not feel like cookie-cutter school photos. You will not be rushed. You will not be made to feel like “just another” one of my clients. You will not show up to the session feeling unprepared. Each and every senior gets a session tailored to their personal style and vision for their session. We milk every last minute of prime lighting that we can, working in multiple outfits and locations so you get lots of variety. And ofc, I always recommend package add-ons like hair and makeup, studio, outfit styling, etc. to really elevate the experience.

Confidence: The amount of moms who have told me that they could see a noticeable, lasting difference in their senior’s confidence after their session is the absolute greatest thing to hear!! I’ll fix your hair, hype you up, show you cutie ways of twirling and frolicking to create stunning pics, teach you the art of the serious face, clutch my heart and die 42 times bc I’ll be so obsessed…you get the idea. 😉

So hiiii! I’m Sierra! I really really really love having you in front of my camera and feel much more comfy staying behind it hehe. Since this photo was taken I’ve:
-Taken a bazillion pics of the best people
-Hosted a couple hundred photogs, content creators, retailers, etc. in the studio, and I will never be able to express how much I love sharing my space and seeing what others create!!!
-Became a homeschool mom. I already never slept but now I really, really…REALLY never sleep. But so worth it to keep my little partner in crime with me all the time.

I don’t think her parents could’ve picked a more accurate name for her, and I cannot tell you how excited I was to find some trees still hanging on to their fall colors for her late-Nov session so we could get some bright, vibrant pics that fit her so well!

Sweet baby Caspian was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma and has multiple tumors throughout his body. His parents, Damien and Olivia with Los Cumplidos Photography, are devastated and battling every parent’s worst nightmare alongside him. Caspian is currently in the hospital (possibly without the ability to go home for the next few weeks) and is undergoing expensive treatments without health insurance. This family needs all the prayers and support they can get!!

That’s where you come in! Sierra Sugg Photography is offering Studio Mini sessions on January 11th at Pure House NWA • Photography Studio and all proceeds will go to the Cumplidos. Grace Starr Photography has graciously agreed to associate shoot (thank you, Grace)!

When Abby told me she was bringing them in their Christmas jammies, I immediately knew I wanted to set up the bed and get some fun ones of them jumping. The stunning Kylie doing of my very fav prompts because it creates flattering movement 10 times out of 10! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you shoot with me, you’ll get a combo of prompts & poses. What do I mean by this and why does it matter? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Prompts are directions given for movement. Swing your hips, twirl, flip your hair, etc. It’s great for getting shots that look more fun and candid! No two people ever do the same prompt exactly alike, so they’re truly unique to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Poses are positions where you’re (mostly) still. Since movement isn’t involved as much, there’s much more control over the outcome. We can tweak the poses all the way from how your hair sits, to the direction you’re angled, and even down to how your fingers are positioned.
