Wednesday Wedding Woes: The Double-Dip Disaster

This week's woe is a sticky situation (literally). We've all been there - the munchies hit, and those late-night chicken fingers and snacks are calling your name. You grab one, take a dip in the ranch dressing... but wait! You see another delicious morsel beckoning. Do you...

A) Grab a fresh plate and enjoy both snacks with a clean dip? (The civilized option)

😎 Go for the double-dip, plunging that same chicken finger back into the communal ranch? (The audacity)

Please, for the love of all things holy, choose A!

Think about it: that creamy ranch has been through the wringer. Multiple fingers, maybe even fries, have taken a swim in there. Do you really want to be responsible for contaminating the entire bowl?

Here's the golden rule: Respect the ranch. Grab a plate, and everyone can enjoy a clean, delicious dip.

Bonus Woe: This also applies to any and all communal dips, folks. Guacamole, hummus, queso - you get the picture. Keep your double-dipping tendencies in check, and together we can create a more hygienic wedding reception experience for all.

Behind the scenes with this past weekend. With Florida’s unstable weather and the last minute mad rush moving inside and back out again, I missed the opportunity to take photos of the ceremony area. Every year, I am in awe that an event of this magnitude comes together by volunteers. We’ve grown! This year was the largest yet and it was exceptional. I am honored to work alongside the amazing Barnabas Center team, the staff, sponsors and volunteers alike, to make Empty Bowls as successful as possible. I am so proud of our community for supporting such a worthy cause. It’s just beautiful to be a part of.
