A mini augur is hands down the best way to plant bulbs, especially in an existing garden. They come in a variety of sizes and making planting bulbs so easy! Watch out for roots, rocks, the cord, and anything else that may be buried. And always be careful when using power tools.

Dahlias are definitely a favorite of ours but it is a labor of love! From sorting and labeling the tubers, to the growing season and harvesting, to checking for disease and sanitizing tools, to overwintering the tubers.
I recommend growing a few in your personal garden but I highly recommend knowing the full process before you try growing them for cut flowers.

We are thrilled to announce that we bought a flower shop!!! This has been a dream of ours that we thought might never become a reality. Finding the listing when we did was synchronistic, almost like it was meant to be.
We are honored to be the next owners of one of the oldest (and the best) flower shops in metro Detroit @tiffanyflorist1973 . We look forward to learning more about the floral business, doing large events, and bringing our flowers into the shop. You can plan on seeing our flowers there starting in the spring as well as at the farmers markets.
Brent will maintain our urban farm and help out at the shop for large events and holidays. Michael will be running the shop and helping out in the garden for planting and harvesting days.

Not only is it time for flowers of the week but it’s also bulb season!! We’ve had more deliveries which means more bulbs!

You heard right! This might be our last weekend with flowers. It’s been a phenomenal season and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the market community and everyone who has supported us. Come by @rofarmmarket to get one of our (potentially) last bouquets of the season. 😢 And some of our first bulbs of the season! Market open on Saturdays 7am-1pm.
We got our first shipment of bulbs!!! The first of many! Each variety will be available at both @rofarmmarket and @bhamfarmmkt this weekend with 10 bulbs per bag. We will bring more to each market as more arrive, including daffodils and our other bulbs.
If you’ve preordered bulbs they will not be available until all the varieties have been delivered and we will reach out to you when that happens (within the next couple weeks.) And if there’s a variety you’d like that we don’t have yet you can preorder it on our website! Happy planting!
