We are incredibly proud to celebrate Madison's outstanding achievements! She has become the highest-rated female chess player in the Detroit Public School District K-12, as well as the top player at Bates Academy. Madison has also earned a USCF Level 4 Norm, a significant accomplishment for any chess player. Her dedication is unparalleled, spending countless hours honing her skills, even facing off against a 2200-rated player and winning competitive games at the prestigious St. Louis Chess Club. Alongside all this, she maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a standout soccer athlete, earning an invitation to a Harvard Soccer Clinic!

As part of our commitment to empowering inner-city youth, especially girls, in pursuing chess, Roller Skate Detroit’s CEO, Keith Walker, founded the D4 Square non-profit in 2023. We’ve awarded over $1,500 in 2023 and 2024 to support individual players, teams, and coaches. Madison is a true testament to what can be achieved with hard work and perseverance.

We’re excited to see what’s next for Madison and all the future leaders she’ll inspire. If you’d like to contribute to D4 Square, be involved, or know someone who would benefit, reach out to us at [email protected]. Let’s continue to support these amazing young talents!
