Sweet Basil notoriously smiles like champs through the craziest scenarios. 12 years of fire dancers, amazing gowns, theme parties, forest fires, torrential floods, earthquakes, head wounds, bloody deer spines, hot kitchens, no kitchens, filthy kitchens, crazy menus, nonpotable water, elk herds, dog p**p littered lawns, lightning strikes, car problems, misinformation, no payment, power outages, office romance, food shortages, cancer, and even death--we've had our share of amazing adventures. We love making the impossible happen for our clients.

Still, COVID19 is just too much. We love treating food like medicine. We were first to respond to delivery needs and have fed countless mouths for free. Threats of virus outbreaks at parties, sheltering orders, $10,000 fines and jailtime, tracing contracts back to vendors, neighbors turning against each other, cancellations, no income, losing inventory and staff...it's more than this small business can shoulder another minute. We've held on as long as possible. Sweet Basil is officially out to pasture. Sniffle.
Thank you for the amazing experiences. Watching so many of you say 'I do!' has been the highlight of my career. I miss your hugs and tasting room chats. I love you, sweet clients! May you stay safe in these uncertain times.

With so many beautiful businesses folding and so much intensity in my personal life, many of you wonder what's up at Sweet Basil.

Cancer...death...COVID...

Well, a biggggg part of chef/catering life involves pulling up these Big Girl panties and smiling through the latest fracas. Business as usual. The saying goes that it isn't brains or brawn that survive in crisis but those who are resilient and adaptable. I say that's right!

We're actively reinventing our space and upgrading our offer to provide new social distancing approved events and a full service intimate Inn. This will take a minute, so stay tuned!

We will continue to provide wedding feasts as long as people say 'I do' under these majestic redwoods and amazing beaches. Jason will continue to offer Sweet Basil DIRECT menus while my team readies our next stage in Humboldt elegant style.

Change is good. With your continued, incredible support, we can do this!

We started as a full service catering company almost a decade ago. One of the owners passed and we were searching for our new direction. Now we enter the Pandemic Age with covid-19. Sweet Basil Direct was born to deliver quilty food to the highest at risk.

oh my goodness! Bringing into the Sweet Basil family is one of the all time best decision. We are all in excellent hands! If you haven't booked your big day with us in 2020, we only have a few dates left. Without Adrian we aren't accepting any double header weekends, so exclusivity is already included! I see a couple dates open in August and just the last weekend in September. Email us quick!

Many of you have heard that we suddenly lost our Adrian last week. I am grieving with family. Our wonderful manager, Jason, is handling Sweet Basil during my absence. My apologies for any lapse in correspondence during this absolutely horrible time.

As newlyweds sharing a wedding business, we were blessed to be surrounded by love everyday.Because he wanted to make up for lost time as a couple, we were inseparable. I feel his loss every moment at home and in our kitchen.

Our loved ones are so supportive; I will be forever grateful for the well wishes and beautiful, hilarious stories about my soulmate.
