I'm wrapping up my final few galleries before the end of the year and I can't believe we're almost to 2025!Chelsea and Teddy planned a beautiful wedding day on Teddy’s family property in Carbondale. From the beginning they jumped into their theme of Vintage Aspen - some western, some cowboy, some bougie, very them and a compliment to the ways that their design aesthetics works better together.

The ceremony site by the river was framed with two aspen trees, and featured a beautiful bridge that they each got to walk over on the way to the alter and each other. They shared personalized vows and lots of laughs (and just a few tears) while their ceremony was officiated by a good friend of theirs.

When they walked back down the aisle married it was to loud cheers from their friends and family and as shower of flower petals.

The tent was gorgeously decorated and guests got to walk past the live fires that were actively smoking and cooking their dinner meat on the way (a real cool touch for the evening).

We snuck away for sunset photo after dinner and visited the neighboring horses in the in the nearby pasture while the sun sank behind the mountains.

The temperature dropped with the sun, but the band kicked it in high gear and kept guests warm on the dance floor for hours after. During their second set, Teddy (a full fledged musician on his own), got up on stage and joined the band for two songs that he dedicated to Chelsea. He brought the house down with his rendition of “Valerie”.

From them on out, it was music, dancing, cake, and more dancing, until the evening would down late into the night.

It's been more than two month's since Marco and Karissa tied the knot (chosen because they love flower so much!), and these beautiful moments are still burned in my memory. When a day is filled with this much laughter, emotion, and joy, you really can't go wrong.

It's giving fall colors and laughter and the most beautiful of connections at 12,000 feet.Cheers to Emily and Sam, who wanted some photos to celebrate this time in relationship (they eloped just the two of them a few weeks before!).

We had the most gorgeous day together in RMNP in September.

It felt like the world was falling apart around the time I got word that I had won an so I didn't get this posted right away. But I'm so honored to have this image from Amanda and John's winter elopement chosen as an award winner from round 3 of the Legend Awards!

Their wedding was all about fun in one of their favorite places, and we took full advantage of a blue sky Colorado snow day to celebrate with their pups.

Moments and days like this one in mid-July with and make me believe in the power and beauty of human connection and our own small place in the big wide world. Both should be cherished.

The last 48 hours have been tough. It's hard to stand in a place as a person and a business and witness millions upon millions of people vote in a way that goes directly against my personal freedoms, protections, and rights. I'm afraid that the ripples of Tuesday will be felt for years to come. But one thing remains true--we still have a voice, we have a community, and we have a history of rising up against the odds. Does it suck to have to do it again? Yes.

Does it mean it's not worth doing? Absolutely not.

We will continue to be a voice for our community, and other marginalized communities who feel the way that we do, in as many ways as possible.

Hugs and love, friends.

The happiest of birthdays to !
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This fun, caring, thoughtful human pushes everyone in our family to show up better and be our kindest and truest selves. I can’t say we’re always the best at it but their belief in our goodness and potential is a pillar of the family we’ve created and I’m eternally grateful for that guiding light in our lives.

Cheers to you babe—may your next year be a year filled with love, self-care, fun experiences, steadfast friends, and family adventures. We love you! ❤️

Lindsay and Tyler rented an incredible airbnb called the Flora House to get ready in before heading to the Denver Botanic Gardens for their ceremony and reception. Before we knew it, she and Tyler were crying as they saw each other for the first time in a hidden nook of the gardens. They decided to read personal vows during their first look and continued their emotional start to their wedding day with so much laughter and tears shared. Their overall theme was one of shared laughter, love and support, and finding ways to spend the small moments with each other as often as possible.

We retreated to the Waring House gardens for couple’s portraits and wedding party, then just as we wrapped those, a gentle rain settled in.

Lindsay and Tyler had their heart set on an outdoor ceremony at the romantic gardens so after waiting out the rain for 15 minutes, they decided that they would just go for it. And so began a magical ceremony held in a light summer rain. Together they exchanged rings and traditional vows, officiated by a good friend of theirs, then walked back down the aisle married!

After the ceremony they joined cocktail hour in Marnie’s pavilion, before being seated with their guests for dinner in the Orangery.

There were several toasts before their first dances and through all of them, Lindsay and Tyler were wrapped around each other, sharing hugs and cuddles as their loved ones toasted to their happiness and joy at having found each other.

They finished the evening with tons of hugs and photos with their friends, then a rocking dance party DJ’d by Tyler’s best man.

Today we said goodbye to the second sister in this sweet pair. We lost Nastia (on the left) 4 years ago, and today Katya (on the right) crossed the rainbow bridge to greet her sister.

and I got the two kitties together back in 2008 and they have been on so many adventures with us. They’ve lived on the 18th floor in DC, moved with us to upstate New York, and then rode in a U-Haul all the way to Colorado with us.

Over the years we’ve added our pup, Berkeley and recently our other cat, River.

But Katya was part of the original OG Crate crew and we will miss her deeply.

Here’s to you Katya—queen of knocking things off the counter, purr-meows, the greenest eyes, and the fluffiest cuddles. We will miss you ❤️

I’m in New York this week (half business half fun), so of course I remembered that yesterday was National Coming Out day in the middle of a ferry with no service 😂

But it’s never too late to celebrate and honor being authentic to yourself so here’s a little glimpse into this beautiful q***r life it’s been a privilege to be a part of. 🏳️‍🌈✨

I came out in college, though I had been questioning my sexuality since I was 14. I fell in love with , but it took awhile to be able to own the “labels” that I felt I needed to use to identify myself as part of a new community. For a while I felt more comfortable saying “I have a girlfriend” than I did saying “I’m gay”. In fact I’m pretty sure I came out to my parents by telling them Heather and I were dating, but not using any identifiers for myself personally.

As I grew more comfortable letting the public see me for who I was the labels have shifted for me. Now I feel lucky that the word q***r encompasses so many parts of the community that feel right for me. Once a word filled with fear and hate towards people, it now feels like a rich and beautiful tapestry of identities and expressions. It allows me to explore other personal identities of gay and bi, it wraps trans and non-binary folks in its arms, and it feels like a family.

This identity is also so engrained in my work and I’m privileged to have a voice in the wedding space that pushes forward the beauty of this community as a priority and a right.

Wherever you are in your own journey, I give you hugs and love.

❤️

*I know that the word q***r still doesn’t feel safe for many in the LGBTQ+ community, and my experience doesn’t minimize that for anyone. Every person has their own story and experience and if you’re really genuinely curious about getting to know someone in the community, ask thoughtful questions and listen with a goal of learning.

What other clothing or items should I purchase in mustard yellow?
