I'm a couple of weeks behind sharing the amazing news that I picked my my 4th and 5th Legend Awards this week!

I'm beyond honored to be included in this amazingly talented group of people who submit to the international elopement photography awards.

Image 1: Anna and Emily got married in the times of COVID at an intimate wedding in Ohio, but they also came to Colorado for their own personal vow exchange atop the mountains in Breck at 12,000 feet. This photo was taken about 30 minutes after we had been run off the mountain top by an incoming storm. The rain had cleared a big and it was time to pop the champagne together!

Image 2: Ashlee and Victoria wanted a very low key day for their ceremony and invited their closest friends to Boulder to celebrate their vows with them. It was emotional from the start and I love this reverse image where I get to see the emotion flow, plus all their love ones in the background.

Claudia and Jenna had quite the celebration at their wedding on July 4, but we met a few months before to get to know each other and explore RMNP together.

These two are so full of joy, laughter, and light and I think it shows up in everything they do and the attitude they share each and every day.

One of the things I love most about photographing weddings is the opportunity to capture a moment in time that you can feel every time you look at your images.

It's a belly laugh, a tight hug, a tear. It's friendship and family and love.

It's you and your people celebrating a moment in time together.

And it's always inspiring.

I was in Golden for a shoot yesterday and I remembered that I totally forgot to share these two fabulous humans and their own beautiful Golden engagement session!

We started the session at their house with their fur babies and then headed to downtown Golden to take in the beautiful evening light along the creek.

I'll have wedding photos to share soon, as their wedding day was equally as beautiful!

Gaby and Alex live in Austin but got engaged in Telluride last winter. This time we gathered in their town to celebrate their intimate wedding with their family and friends at the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden.

Even though the weather took a turn and ended up raining for most of the day, Alex and Gaby were just excited to get married.

The day was a beautiful merging of their two families and it was lovely to see how they each recognized the love that helped shape each of them into the people they are today.

I love these photos that show their joy during the ceremony!

The last 48 hours have been tough. It's hard to stand in a place as a person and a business and witness millions upon millions of people vote in a way that goes directly against my personal freedoms, protections, and rights. I'm afraid that the ripples of Tuesday will be felt for years to come.But one thing remains true--we still have a voice, we have a community, and we have a history of rising up against the odds. Does it suck to have to do it again? Yes.

Does it mean it's not worth doing? Absolutely not.

We will continue to be a voice for our community, and other marginalized communities who feel the way that we do, in as many ways as possible.
