To All Our Customers, Family and Friends,
L&J’s Cormier Catering, Inc. has been on the market for sale, both business and home. There was hope that someone would take a thriving turn-key catering business and bring it to the next level. With the economy in the present state of uncertainty, investing in a turn-key or a new business is an enormous decision to make for one’s future and one’s lifestyle. Owning a business is not for the light-hearted. It is hard work and dedication to produce a great product for your customers and to ensure an income for your future.
As I mentioned in an earlier post on L&J’s Cormier Catering, Inc.’s FB business page (refer to August 31st), and prior to my husband Joe’s untimely passing, we (Joe and I) were beginning our exit strategy to sell the business and property. We were looking forward to our next life’s adventure together. Knowing Joe, it would not have been a full retirement either.
I now find myself in a position of making another major decision. This decision is not an easy one by any means. But, after much thought, professional consulting, and with a heavy heart, I have decided to close the doors ending this chapter in my life as owner of L&J’s Cormier Catering, Inc. Our last event is taking place on December 30th, 2023. The doors and book on L&J’s Cormier Catering will be closed December 31st, 2023. I truly believe this is the best decision for me as well as for my staff, as it has become very difficult to remain enthusiastic about running this business without Joe.
As mentioned before, Cormier Catering Services (its former name) has been in this community for over 71 years in business. It was the brainchild of Blanche Cormier, the original owner. When Joe and I purchased this business over 16 years ago, we expanded our catering services beyond the Fitchburg/Leominster area to serve Worcester County and Southern NH. In expanding, we purchased Shirley Catering in 2018, growing to provide our services in Groton, Pepperell, Westford, Maynard, and Chelmsford areas.
It certainly has been a wondersome adventure in the catering and food services world. I will miss the daily contact with clients and working with you to create your visions for your events. Thank you for allowing all of us here at L&J’s Cormier Catering, Inc. the opportunity to provide our catering services for all the events in your lives. Here’s to the next chapter in all our lives!
