We are on final approach to this weekend's Fitzgerald Fly-in held in conjunction with the Fitzgerald Fall Festival!

In order to help us plan our food needs we would love to know how many are coming. So... If' you will send us an email to [email protected] and let us know you're coming to the hamburger fly-in by Thursday at noon and how many people you'll be bringing (including yourself), we'll enter your name in a drawing for 10 gallons of av-gas! The drawing will be held on Saturday around 1:00PM. You must be present to win.

Pilots,
The Fitzgerald Fall Festival, Fitzgerald Hamburger Fly-in and Fitzgerald Movie Night Fly-in are excellent events to fly the whole family to for family fun! These are three different events that are tied together to offer pilots an excellent and unique opportunity for the whole family to have fun! The Movie night and Fitz Fall Festival take place at Paulk Park which is a city owned park located adjacent to the grass runway at Fitzgerald Municipal Airport (KFZG). Land at KFZG, taxi over to and park on the grass strip. Walk through the gate and you are on park property where most of the activities take place. Airplane parking and camping take place on the grass runway.

Friday evening, we’ll have an outdoor movie that starts right after sundown. Be sure to bring an appetite, we’ll have popcorn and drinks available! After the movie we encourage you to camp under your wing for a good night’s sleep for the next day’s activities. (BTW, we have showers available for campers!)

Saturday morning the festival starts at 9:00 am. There are 70+ crafts and food booths to shop at. There is also live entertainment, an antique tractor show and activities for the kids.

Noon Saturday, the Rotary Club of Fitzgerald offers pilots and their passengers a hamburger cookout located within the festival grounds overlooking the beautiful Paulk Park Pond. It’s an opportunity for pilots to enjoy some good food and great pilot fellowship. This is a fund-raising event for our local Rotary Club to raise funds for some of its charitable projects.

Pilots, the Fitzgerald Fall Festival and Fitzgerald Fly-in are only a few weeks away! On Friday, September 26th we'll be kicking off our event with a movie night fly-in. This year we'll be featuring the 1980's classic comedy, Airplane! After the movie you're welcome to camp under the wing to get a fresh start for the Fitzgerald Fall Festival on Saturday, the 27th. Also, on Saturday the Rotary Club of Fitzgerald is hosting a hamburger fly-in for pilots and their passengers.
This is an event that is family friendly, there is something for everyone. The festival on Saturday features an antique tractor show and parade, arts and crafts booths, festival food booths, and entertainment.

After having to cancel the movie fly-in, hamburger fly-in and Fall Festival last year due to hurricane Helene, We’re looking forward to this year’s Fitzgerald Fly-in! It is only a short time away!

This is a fly-in experience that the whole family can enjoy! Bring your spouse, bring your kids, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Fitzgerald fly-in is held in conjunction with the Fitzgerald Fall Festival. In addition to good hamburgers and great pilot fellowship, there is live entertainment, arts and crafts vendors, festival food vendors, kids' activities and even an antique tractor show and more. The Hamburger fly-in takes place on September 27th at 12:00, the festival starts at 9:00 am. Come early, enjoy the festival then join us for a great burger meal at the Fitzgerald Fly-in.

Pilots, the Fitzgerald Fall Festival and Fitzgerald Fly-in are only a few weeks away! To kick things off, on Friday, September 26, we'll be hosting a movie fly-in!, After the movie you're invited to set up camp and camp out under the wing, so you'll be well rested for all of the activities on Saturday! The Fitzgerald Fly-in was scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 9/28. Last night Fitzgerald took a direct hit from Hurricane Helene. Fitzgerald has no power, no land lines, no cell service, no internet. We are canceling the Fly-in for this weekend. We hope to see you at next year's fly-in. Please help spread the word about the cancelation.

UPDATE!!!

Planning, organizing, and pulling off a movie fly-in and a hamburger fly-in all in conjunction with an annual festival is always a challenge. Throw in a forecasted hurricane and something has to give! So, we have made the decision to cancel the movie fly-in for Friday evening at Fitzgerald Airport (KFZG).

At this time the weather forecast for Saturday looks great so we're still planning on having the hamburger fly-in! Come join us for great pilot fellowship and some really good hamburgers!

Fitzgerald Fly-in is right around the corner! This is a fly-in experience that the whole family can enjoy! Bring your spouse, bring your kids, there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Fitzgerald fly-in is held in conjunction with the Fitzgerald Fall Festival. July is over and we are now one month closer to having a great time at the Fitzgerald Hamburger Fly-in and Fitzgerald Fall Festival!! In addition, there will be a movie night fly-in on Friday evening, camping under the wing and other fun activities. This is a fly-in event that has something for the whole family, so, bring your spouse and the kids. The whole family will have fun at this event!

SAVE THE DATE and plan on joining us on Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th for weekend of flying fun!
