We are Flock & Clowder, a small scale cut flower farm offering bouquets, wholesale & DIY weddings.

Our self-serve roadside farm stand at 45 Fullam Hill Rd in Fitzwilliam is open on the weekends and by request.

What are you up to this weekend? Come visit us at the Fitzwilliam Farmers Market on Saturday from 9am - 1pm on the Fitzwilliam Common. The weather prediction is cool and overcast for the last day of summer, so bust out that fall gear and swing through for a splash of color.

The dahlias are finally cranking. If you came to the farmers market the other week then you’re in the know! Flowers, projects, deliveries and planting this week. You’ll find some of our dahlias at Daffodils Flowers and Gifts. Make sure you head over there this week!

Our giant pumpkin is swelling up slowly but surely. I’m very much looking forward to buying some local seeds for next year. Does anyone know of some Monadnock giant pumpkin growers? 🎃

I also got the fall planting beds tilled and will get things transplanted this week. Here’s a few shots of full summer blooms

It’s time to finish the solar-powered rainwater irrigation project! We recieved a grant from the Cheshire County Conservation District to put in this system. We’ve had the drip lines installed and tanks set on a foundation all summer. Just need to finish up the last bit of connections from our gutters to the tanks and it’ll be complete 🥳

Feels like a big learning year for us over here. We built our farmstand, joined the local farmers market, and started selling beyond our friends and family. We more than double our growing space and had plenty of planting fails (I’m looking at you, sunflowers🌻)

Although our dahlias are late, they’re just as beautiful as always. Hyacinth bean is also late to the party, but hey, we’ve done a lot so far this year. See you at the Fitzwilliam Farmers Market tomorrow👋🏽

Let the harvest begin! Getting flowers ready for this weekends market. 🌺

Our fall plantings are mini and we’re working on bed prep for them this week. We’re hoping for a solid spring harvest with this fall planting 🤞🏼I’m especially excited for the yarrow!

You can always let us know if you need flowers sometime during the week or for a special event. 🎉

We hope you enjoy your time off today, we’ll be visiting some friends later and are doing a few chores around the farm…getting some beds ready for our fall planting and cleaning up around the property.

One of the giant pumpkins is swelling up and one is a bit squishy, so that might be the end for her! 🎃 these were an impulse by at Walmart late in the season and I am definitely going for to find some locally for next year. (Has anyone else seen the giant pumpkins they grow in historic Deerfield MA?)

Sure feels like fall this morning, yeah? Our fall planting is coming along and will go in the ground shortly. The plan is to give them a heavy mulch, let them overwinter and then have a nice flush of flowers next spring. Pumped to see how this works out 💪🏼 🌸

We’ve had such success growing dahlias over the years, but this year is certainly not our best. The blooms are coming for sure, albeit at least a month later than last year 😳 we tried a different support system things year, the corral method, never again! Plus we’ve had enormous disease pressure. Nevertheless, there are some beauties shining through. Check em out!

We’ve been fall seeding for an overwintered crop of blooms that will be ready for next spring. And speaking of fall, make sure to take a peek out front at our giant pumpkins when you pass by. We’ve never grown a giant pumpkin before, but here goes! 🎃
