"Where community thrives and nature flourishes"
We offer a true agritourism experience to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with each other in nature.

Nothing like sharing the warmth of a fire with those in shared community ๐ it's a small world, a short life - let's make the best of it. Soaking up the mundane moments, as that's what life is comprised of.
"How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives." // Annie Dillard
thank you so much to Sarah & Iggy of for joining us at the annual "grove party" and snapping some incredible photos!

Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Rogue Health, Food & Wellness is happening at Wonderfield March 13-15!!!!
Joel Salatin has been a regenerative agriculture role model, particularly loving his book: "Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal". Well, I'm beyond stoked that Rogue Food cofounders Joel Salatin and Johnny Moody will be at the event, along with a number of incredible educators and leaders. So excited!!!! What an absolute dream to be hosting an event that celebrates empowering ourselves and our communities to take our health, food, and wellness into our own hands - this is it!!!!
Hope to see you at the conference ๐

Florida citrus is going bust, innovative solutions are needed! We are happy to be a part of the very few farms investing in growing citrus, and helping to steward a new chapter for this heritage crop of Florida ๐
One of the oldest citrus producers in the state is shutting down. It comes as another blow to the already struggling industry.

Have you ever heard of "a circle of gifts"? Simply put, it's the relationship of gifts as a foundation for community. Coined by Charles Eisenstein, it's a powerful concept!
So, let's practice...
Tell us your dreams and goals for 2025 AND something you can offer someone else else this year. As more people share in the comments - if you are reading someone's dream and can help them meet their dream with a gift you have, offer that! But don't forget to share your dreams as well, you never know who can be a catalyst in your vision.
Something I can say wholeheartedly, is I wouldn't have accomplished anything in my life is it wasn't for my community stepping up with an offer, opportunity, connection, and more to help me make my dreams happen. "Self made" is an illusion. "Community built" is the way.
Ill go first...
My dream for 2025 is to create a regenerative market garden at Wonderfield. I want part of it to be dedicated to growing food that is available for sale to our guests, event hosts and local community. I also want to dedicate part of this food grown to a local food bank. I alsooo want to grow flowers in a part of the garden that is available for guests to harvest their own bouquets! :)
What I can gift is space to host a workshop, small event, meetings and more. If you are starting up and looking for a space I can offer space at wonderfield to help get you started.
What I can gift is advising anyone who would like guidance on starting and running a regenerative business, an agritourism destination, or entrepreneurship in general. There is little more I love than to see people start and succeed in their own business.

Absolutely stoked to announce! We are hosting the Florida Rogue Food Conference March 2025! Tickets went on sale this week:
What a recap video!!! This was shot by Spoonbill Productions at the 2024 Florida Permaculture Convergence hosted at Wonderfield earlier this month.
This gathering is always such an inspiration - a catalyst to connection and growth for this community! Grateful to the organizers, and every single person who shows up to make this event possible.
Kitschy cottage vibes for your viewing pleasure :)
We are a regenerative farm stay! That means you can stay at cute little cottages like this, but with a 66-acre Old Florida paradise as your backyard.
This time of year the walking trails are gorgeous, swamp maples & cypress reminding you we do have seasons here in Florida. The citrus are ripening sweetly in colder nights. The water is high - we even saw a wild otter in our canal the other day ๐ฅน
Where Community Thrives and Nature Flourishes, come stay with us at Wonderfield ๐

"Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of natureโthe assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter." - Rachel Carson
Wellness begins where the WiFi endsโfind your retreat in the great outdoors at the Wonderfield glamp village ๐ฑ
We don't have WiFi in any of our cottages or glamping tents! But you can access the Internet in our main barn :) the feedback we get from guests is often shock and awe how much the opportunity to be disconnected helps them relax and unwind. You're welcome ;) THIS IS NATURE THERAPY

Grateful. It's lovely to highlight gratitude on a day like thanksgiving, but the aim is to emulate this emotion year round. Even when things get tough. Even when it's hard. Even when it's difficult to understand. Gratitude, it's the undercurrent that fertilizes a life well lived. It takes a big, heaping spoonful of hope too. Hope is the fuel to the future. I'll never forget, when a county judge looked at me on the stand and basically asked why I would have the audacity to sell a service in the future when I knew my business was at risk of being able to operate if they didn't rule in our favor...I said without pause, "Sir, I am a victim of hope." And ain't that the truth! A dash of delusion at times, but a victim of hope that keeps on dreaming, keeps on doing, and thankful to have the opportunity to be challenged as my dad would say ๐
Here's to another year! Of abundance, of grit, of hope and of gratitude.

Tis the season of stained fingertips harvesting the scrumptious, sweet-and-sour Roselle ๐โค๏ธ
Have you ever grown this plant? If so, what's your favorite way to eat / process it?
11/24/2024
We were recently featured in a Citrus County Chronicle article, and the name of the piece is so beautiful - "Land Stewardship, Inspired by Nature." This article highlights the upcoming convergence happening 12/6-12/8 at Wonderfield! The also published a piece about our farm titled, "Chickens and Cattle and Glamping, Oh My!" ๐ Both will be linked in our media highlights story ๐
Thankful for the newspaper features! And grateful to be doing what we're doing right here in Citrus County!

Red amaranth, what a show stopper! Especially in that golden hour sunshine โ๏ธ this is an amazing plant to grow here in Florida as it acts as a beautiful flower, it's a nutritious grain, and a leafy green!
This photo was taken a few weeks ago, it's ready to go now that the weather is cool & dry so I'm going to have a go at harvesting the seeds tomorrow ๐ any tips & pointers greatly appreciated!

So grateful to all the educators who fervently and generously share their knowledge with us! One of our favorite activities at Wonderfield is hosting workshops, courses, and convergences to gather and share knowledge about land stewardship, farming, wellness and more.
I see a trend happening...more and more people are waking up to the reality that everything is interconnected. This is at the core of regenerative thinking and I see it in municipalities, education, and farming. This is REALLY exciting to witness, and gives me so much inspiration for our future. We learn about wellness AND farming AND land stewardship and how they are all intricately interconnected. This is the future, be gone siloed wisdom.
Come gather with us next month 12/6-12/8 at Wonderfield for the 2024 convergence! There will be multiple educators, leaders, and doers sharing their experience and knowledge with the public.

Can tourism be utilized as a tool for conservation?
We believe so! Insert, regenerative tourism ๐ญ
Regenerative tourism is a sustainable travel approach that aims to leave a destination better than it was before. It's different from sustainable tourism, which focuses on not causing *additional* damage to the environment. Regenerative tourism involves a variety of activities that contribute to environmental conservation and regeneration.
An added bonus? When the conservation in question is for farmland! is an incredibly powerful practice that can help save Florida farms in the face of real estate speculation, rising costs, and development. When combined with regeneration - this has the power not only to help Florida farms but also implement regenerative practices. Everybody wins.
This is what we have implemented here at Wonderfield. Our company integrates tourism opportunities into the business model to help fuel our regenerative farming practices, development, and opportunities.
To all our guests, visitors, hosts, community and more who support the cause - thank you for helping keep Wonderfield growing!

Originally Banes Grove, this Floral City citrus landmark has flourished into what you now see as WonderField Farm & Grove. Bought from Howard Bane in 2017, the Hubbard Family of St. Petersburg, Florida are now the stewards of these beautiful lands โ 66 acres to be exact! The legacy of Banes Grove is an asset to the area and community that we do not intend to diminish but rather to enhance and expand.
The Hubbard family at Wonderfield Farm & Grove represents a new breed of land stewards. They are dedicated to preserving the beauty and history of their lands while adopting new strategies to enhance the natural systems and steer their once forgotten acreage back into nourishing food production and mindful immersive spaces. We plan for this project to become a โHubโ for nature lovers, locavores, permaculture enthusiasts, and travelers seeking a real Florida experience away from the main tourist traps. Our hope is that Wonderfield Farm & Grove will create lasting memories for its guests that inspire them to work within and appreciate their natural surroundings wherever they might find themselves.
The property is nestled up next to the Flying Eagle Preserve, only minutes from some of Floridaโs most famous freshwater springs, and the entire property line is bordered by a gorgeous freshwater canal. Wonderfield is a perfect place to stay and see a side of Florida like never before.
Wonderfield is honored to be hosting the 2019 Florida Permaculture Convergence! Thanks to the help and plans by the permaculture design team at GreenDreams, the property will be a lens into what regenerative agriculture can look like.
More than a farm, Wonderfield is also an exceptional event venue. We will help you host your own gathering - learn more here.
