Join us at Desert Reef on Saturday, December 21st for a special-edition self-led solstice silent soak. We’re opening our doors to you for this late night soak for the chance to reflect upon and absorb the beauty and stillness of the longest night of the year.

Arrive at 9:30 pm and stay until the gate locks at midnight, basking under the dreamy stars of the Winter Solstice. This is a ticketed event, tickets are available in the store of our website. And there are 2 rooms and 3 van sites still available for this event.

Remember the time you saw Bjork play at the Old Spaghetti Factory or Weezer play by the ring toss at Lakeside Amusement Park? This Saturday’s Sound + Soak will be better. Here is the show that will top your ‘Top Ten Live Music Experiences’ list in perpetuity. The show that you will earnestly, yet annoyingly, tell your friends about for years.

At Desert Reef our heart grows 3 sizes by creating a peaceful restorative environment for people to recuperate and become the best versions of themselves. When we’re not scratching that healing itch we aim to create truly unique experiences.

Join us on September 22nd, the Autumnal Equinox, for a community ritual and ceremonial sound bath with Nina Born. Begin the evening with ritual that will attune to and honor the shifting of the seasons, and end the evening with a soak in the warm mineral waters of Desert Reef, while taking in the harmonious sounds of singing bowls, gong, chimes, and mantra. Arrive at 6:30 for check-in and to prepare for the community ritual at 7pm. Participants will gather for a body puja - gentle movement and breath for all body types - to ground, center, clear and purify their vessels in preparation for the Equinox sound bath ceremony at 8:15pm. Participants are invited to bring an offering of gratitude for summer, and intention for the upcoming season (details in the event description)!
Bathing suits and pre-purchased tickets are required. No refunds or transfer of tickets. Attendees must be 18+.

Subscribers of our newsletter know that in addition to the extra terrestrial abductions, it has come to our attention that we are possibly haunted. Please stop asking us questions about it. So re: the Haunting, we will be closing for a few days next week for an exorcism and some general maintenance. Our dates of closure are Monday, September 9th - Thursday, September 12th. We look forward to welcoming you back with open arms, new pool chairs, and friendlier ghosts that have been warned.

Join us for on July 7th for a special edition nighttime Gong Journey under a cloak of darkness and stars with Nina Born. Soak in the warm mineral waters of Desert Reef, while taking in a dreamy sound-scape of crystal bowls, gongs, and enchanting chimes.

Arrive at 8:45pm to begin soaking and settling in. Enjoy the sound journey from 9:00-10:00pm. Nina will prime the space with a simple guided drop-in, leading us into the body and womb waters as she invokes angelic essence with singing bowls. She will invoke angelic essence with 432hz singing bowls and celestial chimes, and an extended “dragon ride” gong journey. Participants may continue soaking and reveling in the warm mineral waters until 10:15pm. Tickets and additional information is available on our website!

Join us on Sunday, June 23rd for our first ever Music + Movement Celebration of the Summer Solstice. Arrive at 7pm to settle in for poolside all-levels yoga and movement led by Tiffany Christopher, accompanied by Mollie Fischer on cello, followed by a resonant dreamy cello sound bath by Mollie while floating in the warm mineral waters of Desert Reef. Bring a yoga mat and water for the yoga portion of the event, and feel free to bring a pool noodle or two to enjoy floating during the sound bath.

Mollie Fischer is an Austin-based cellist and Qigong enthusiast. She has performed cello sound baths for yoga events, music festivals and meditation gatherings. She is passionate about using the human-like resonance of the cello to facilitate healing and relaxation, offering a gift to the nervous system. Tiffany Christopher is a van-lifer and touring musician who is passionate about yoga and movement. In 2018 she traveled to the dry jungle of Costa Rica and received her 200 hour vinyasa yoga training certification. She believes yoga is for everyone and offers a simple and fun approach to mind/body awareness. Together these lovely humans travel and play music, share their adventures with the world, and offer their healing gifts.

If space had oxygen would astronauts dress the same as guests at Desert Reef? If so their spaceships would certainly look like our airstreams. What would that movie title be?
Anyway it’s something to ponder poolside which is easier than ever with our summer pricing on our overnight accommodations.
