We had a very special autographed guitar stolen recently.

We want to give a very special thank you to the Florence Police Department and Detective Justin Whitten and team for being so quick to respond and recover this piece of music history! The FPD deserves a gold medal..or maybe we need to see if they can be rewarded with a gold record from the Shoals Gold Record Room.

Thanks for all of the tips received from the public to help us recover this stolen guitar. It’s clear to us that we have a music-loving community that will not tolerate bad behavior. 😎

Performers will be the amazing Scooter Muse, Jil Chambless and Doug Stokes! For more than 25 years, Alabama natives Scooter Muse and Jil Chambless have performed the music of Scotland, Ireland and early America in a wide variety of venues, from simple house concerts to festivals and concert halls. For this performance, they will be joined by Doug Stokes on percussion.

RESPECT!
Check out Myk Watford showing some “respect” for his hometown at the Aretha Franklin movie premiere in Los Angeles on Sunday. Myk, a Shoals area native, portrays legendary producer Rick Hall in the film. He is sporting one of Rick Hall’s pocket handkerchiefs that was gifted to him by Linda Hall when he was here last week. Rick would be so proud.

Crazy Chester Records Artist Mark Narmore will rock the Shoals Gold Record Room on Friday, July 2. Expect to hear some hit songs and some patriotic tunes to set the mood for your celebrations!

Mark Narmore is a Muscle Shoals born and bred soul man who has waved the flag for the Shoals countrywide. Blues, Southern Rock, Gospel and Country all combine when he sits down to sing his songs behind the piano. As a songwriter, Mark has scored hits on Shenandoah with "Moon Over Georgia" and Craig Morgan with the 2005 Radio Song of the Year, "That's What I Love About Sunday". Other artists who have dipped into Mark's soulful batch of songs include Josh Turner, Tenille Arts, Big Daddy Wilson, Reba, Alabama, Southern rocker Henry Paul and Blackhawk, plus Brandy Clark, Tracy Lawrence and John Michael Montgomery.
