They say June is for weddings but if you love flowers, don't forget about May. This week our irises are amazing. They are everywhere at the Floyd Event Center located at . This is one location but I counted no less than eight areas on site that have beautiful sections of irises. If you are interested in a wedding with a ton of flowers, give us a call about having a May wedding 2023. You can also check our schedule online at

Weddings cannot be booked through the website but we have begun adding prices and details to answer basic questions. More information will be added in the week to come.

If you are interested in seeing all of the Iris locations on site I would love to give you a tour on our golf cart.

3rd day of a new year and we are in a Winter Wonderland. I love the quiet that comes with a good snow. It can take the most ordinary view and make it into something spectacular. Enjoy these photos that were taken by a community member at the Floyd EcoVillage Event Center .

Happy New Year!

Sorry for the late greeting but not only did we usher in the new here here at the Floyd Event Center but we also celebrated Seneca and David as they began the new year off with a bang. Their decorations were gorgeous. The amount of love and camaraderie from family and friends was inspiring. Everyone had the same objective, make sure Seneca and David have a perfect day. I hope their wedding day is a reflection of their life together because it will be magnificent. I had a chance to work with some new vendors. It was a great experience all around. Hope to be working with them again soon. List of vendors is below.

Kay and Cameron were scheduled to be married last Halloween but like many couples, their wedding plans were postponed. Luckily they were able to celebrate their marriage this year with an Alice in Wonderland/mad hatter's tea party themed wedding. What a blast! This couple was so much fun and I know their life together is going to be exciting and beautiful as well. I would also like to thank them for providing bamboo dishes and cutlery. The bamboo straws were really cool. I've never used them before.

The meal was amazing. The cake was whimsical and delicious. The photographer was efficient and timely as well as easy to work with. What an amazing team.

Thank you to the happy couple for allowing us to be a part of their special day. We wish them the best of luck in their marriage and the future.

The Floyd Event Center is continually blessed with the most easy going couples and loving families. Today was definitely no exception. Merrily and Zach are the nicest couple I've ever met. They are incredibly kind and it is obvious upon meeting their family that they get it directly from them. I was honored to be a part of this day today and wish the new couple tons of happiness.

What an amazing day. Got a little bit of rain this morning which Floyd county desperately needed. Cleared up for a beautiful wedding day for Mary Kate and Jackson. They got to celebrate with people who absolutely love them. What can I possibly say about Susanna and Andrew except that they are an amazingly sweet couple that are full of life and happiness. We had an incredible wedding and reception today. The weather started off not so great and ended up gorgeous. Luckily they got to have the wedding outside just like they wanted. It was such a pleasure to get to spend the day with Sydney and Eli and their amazingly kind and hospitable family. It was a tad cooler today than we had anticipated but the sky was clear and the weather was comfortable in the sun. The father of the groom stayed up all night smoking the meat and the food was amazing. I had the opportunity to work with some new vendors today which is always exciting. I have tagged them below.
