To My Agape Family,
First, happy 2025! Hard to believe it’s come already, but here we are! After taking a few weeks to step back, meditate, seek wise counsel, and pray, I’m ready to move forward with Jehovah Nissi (The Lord is My Banner)! The Lord has waited until the time when He would receive all the glory from what’s to come, just as He did when He raised Lazarus from the grave in John 11.
My vision for a food trailer was born from wanting to serve our community, love like Jesus, and feed folks food for both the body and soul. However, the Lord pulled the reins back and started me simply making BBQ sauce. This allowed me get the feel for sharing the Agape message and grow in the community. Since then, He has built relationships, opened doors, and one step at a time provided everything needed to grow a business and ministry. We went from making sauce in Mason jars to having Jesus name glorified on bottle labels in stores, all within the first year!
That was only possible by His grace. By being obedient to share His name, He blessed us in return. As the sauce grew, we moved into cooking and catering food, sharing my love for BBQ with everyone. But, as the devil usually does when you’re trampling his head, evil that was meant to break us was spoken. We had to step back, regroup, and watch the Lord turn what was meant for evil into His blessing! A week after, we were able to get Texas Candy on the fast track to store shelves! By our 1 year anniversary, we had our first bottles produced. A month later, the Lord blessed us with a food trailer and the means to pull it. THAT’S ALL GOD!!!
The new year brings even more opportunities to serve and watch the Lord work. I’ve said all this to paint a picture of how Jesus has used each of you in so many various ways to bless our community, and us.
We are almost there! Yes, we have an operational food trailer and a truck to pull it. But, just as anything previously owned, you have to make it yours. To do this, funds are needed, thus my weeks of prayer and counsel. Anyone who knows me, knows I have a heart for serving. My vision for this business is to bring my love of BBQ and Jesus to the people. ALL People. Nothing hurts my heart more than seeing someone truly in need. We are in tough times. Between disasters and our economy, there are areas that need a little love and hope. I want to use our trailer as not only a place for locals to eat, but as a beacon of hope. When someone sees “Big Tank’s Agape BBQ”, I want them to associate it with the love of Jesus; the whole reason for our name! This is where y’all come in.
I’m calling on the name of the Lord and for my Agape family to help bring this vision to fruition. We are in need of roughly $18,000-20,000 to complete the trailer for service and make a few repairs to the truck. I don’t want to throw a number out there like that without an explanation of its purpose, so here is the list of things required:
Fire Suppression System
Strip, sand and paint the trailer- vinyl decals
Tires and wheels for the trailer
Full Pan Convection oven
Generator w electric start
Large propane tanks
Inspections / Licensing
Suspension and light repairs to truck
I have printed quotes for the majority of these items if requested. I want to be transparent with y’all. This is about watching the Lord do what I do not have the means to do. When I sought His face and approval to move ahead, I was given peace. It may take a year, it may take 2 weeks (knowing my Lord and Agape family), but this is all in His time and for His work to be accomplished. I’m a servant.
If you’re able to donate, pray, lend a hand…whatever the Lord directs you to, it’s a blessing. Thank y’all for reading this, and seeing us through to where we are now. I look forward to giving updates and the hands and feet of Jesus mobilize! Thanks for loving us!
In Christ’s service,
Jason “Big Tank” Faulk
