At the 2025 HERITAGE FEST, we will host the Prairie Gold Rush and feature all lines related to Minneapolis-Moline. Event dates are August 1-3, 2025 at Heritage Park in Forest City. This 1954 Minneapolis-Moline R is owned by Carl Wagner of Forest City. This was the first in 1954 of the last 8 "R" models built and it was originally built as a factory LP tractor.

This ad for the Avery Farm Truck says the truck could haul 100 bushels of grain on its own bed and pull a loaded wagon behind with a speed of 2 to 12 miles an hour. This truck could do the work of 6 to 10 horses. B.F Avery merged with the Minneapolis-Moline company in 1951. Learn more about the Avery tractors and equipment when you visit the Heritage Fest, August 1-2-3, 2025 at Heritage Park in Forest City. Avery will be one of the lines featured as part of the Prairie Gold Rush show.

In 1910, the Minneapolis Steel & Machinery Company worked with McVicker Engineering to develop the first of an impressive linen of durable, heavyweight gas tractors known as Twin City. Twin City will be one of the lines featured as part of the Prairie Gold Rush Feature during Heritage Fest August 1-2-3, 2025 at Heritage Park in Forest City.

To better reflect all that Heritage Park has to offer, we have changed the name of the annual Steam Threshing Festival to Heritage Fest. The next event is August 1-3, 2025. The 3-day event is a celebration of our rural lifestyles in the early 1900s. Along with steam engines in various operations, there are other activities including a blacksmith, log sawing, stationary engines, antique autos and over two dozen historical museums and collections on the grounds. Mark your calendar now and plan to join your friends at next year's HERITAGE FEST in Forest City, Iowa.

PAYDAY IN THE COUNTRY
In a very unique partnership between the City of Forest City, Heritage Park, Forest City FFA and local agri-businesses and farmers, a learning experience has been created beneficial to many of our community youth.
We want to thank Mayland Pioneer Seeds, Farmers Coop, Wooge Farms, Adam Lackore Farms, and Lewis Grain and Livestock in making this happen!
We are happy to announce today the harvesting of 693 bushels of soybeans from our 13 acre field by the vet clinic. At $10 a bushel many will benefit from this years harvest!!!
