Wow!! It’s hard to believe so many months have passed since our last post. While we may not have been posting much has been happening on the new farm. It’s February already; and in less than a month we will have been here for a full year!! We have wholeheartedly dived into preparing for cut flower production. Thousands of daffodils & irises are already in the ground. Hundreds each of gladiolas, freesia, & spider lilies are next. Followed by the two weeks straight of hundreds & hundreds of snapdragons being seeded. We have cleared several thousand square feet of space and are in the process of building six very large raised beds. As well, an even larger plot has been cleared and is being sanitized for our wildflower pollinator field and the thousands of sunflowers that will be planted.
Help us get the word out that this summer will see locally grown, fresh cut flowers available in Scott county and the surrounding areas.
