In the floral shop business you encounter all kinds of. I emotional times. Both good and bad. Weddings, anniversaries, Birthdays etc are the good times. Today was a very hard one for Katie Aaron, my daughter and designer.
She used to teach at the elementary school where Brandon was her student. He’s the young man that fatally fell/jumped from the bridge last week that involved 5-6 cars. Those people will have PTSD for years I am sure.
Today was his funeral & Katie had several orders for his funeral. She had to deliver them because I am out of town working a hat show with my husband. She knew him, cared for him & had to deliver the flowers for his funeral. She knows the intimate details of his death & it’s heartbreaking. It is always an honor to design flowers in loving memory of someone. It can also be designed with tears running down your face. Katie had that experience today walking into his service. He died way too soon, such a sweet young man.

Due to the extremely rough year we have had in 2023, we all need a break.
Our daughters took over while I was having surgery. Being a small family owned business it has been tough on all of us.
So we are going to be closed until January 10th to spend priceless time with our families.
Thank you for understanding and we will be back to normal hours on Jan. 10, 2023. Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00

It doesn’t go by unnoticed when I have a new born baby bouquet & a funeral spray. So much joy for one family as another family deals with so much heartache from their loss.
Life is so short from birth to death. Once you hit 50 you realize your life is half way over at best. Make memories they will be all that you have left one day.

My Health Journey Update….

I am back in the shop fulltime. I’ve had 6 of my regular customers reach out this week asking when I would be back, so I decided to make a post.
My daughter Katie Aaron did a phenomenal job taking over the entire business while I had my surgery/recovery. For the past three months she has taken the orders, created them & delivered each one. That doesn’t include processing all of the flowers. Trust me, it is A LOT of work for one person. She was truly a pro! She took so much stress off of me by keeping the shop open & financially keeping income coming in.

I’m still recovering but I am so much better. For the past two weeks I’ve been back designing & delivering daily. Katie is back to working fulltime at RevRan Hats. They are working hard daily to get ready for NFR in Las Vegas in two weeks.
As a small business I sincerely appreciate my faithful customers. Y’all are why we are still open 10 years later.

Due to my surgery we will not be able to take any Homecoming orders this year. I sincerely apologize but we are taking daily orders. There was no time to train anyone before the surgery.
