You have one more chance to see our TGS Bears perform Disney's "The Little Mermaid, Jr." The show starts at 6 p.m. tonight at the Fine Arts Center. Admission is free, but donations are welcome!

To help you understand how fantastic this cast is, they lost half of their rehearsal time at the FAC due to last week's snow, and still pulled together an amazing show! The props and set crew built and painted their set pieces, including the rotating panels in the back. This group has worked so hard on this show and we hope you will come out and see it. We are so proud of them all! ❤️

Our first musical of the season will take you on an adventure through the 100 Acre Woods. Join Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and all their friends on a quest to save Christopher Robin from the dreaded Backsons. Our talented students from Hubbard Elementary take the stage Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. with "Winnie the Pooh, Kids." Admission is $5. We hope to see you there!

It's the last week of school before the holidays, and this week we are celebrating our choral students. Join us every night for a different performance. The Choirs of Mary Persons High School kick things off Monday night. Then on Tuesday, enjoy the sounds of the Monroe County Middle School Chorus. Wednesday and Thursday we will highlight our Monroe County third graders. This group is so big that we had to split it across two nights. All four concerts are free and start at 6 p.m. We hope you can join us.

This week we are celebrating our Monroe County Bands. Tonight you can enjoy a Winter Showcase presented by the Mary Persons High School Instrumental Department. On Wednesday, the bands of Monroe County Middle School invite you to a Holiday Concert. Then on Thursday, don't miss the 5th Grade Holiday Band Concert. All three shows are free and start at 6 p.m. We hope you can join us!

Are you ready for our biggest night of the year? A Celtic Angels Christmas is just one night away!!! We do want to share a few details with you as you finalize your plans for the day. The lobby and box office will open at 6 p.m. We have a limited number of tickets available, and you will need a credit/debit card to purchase at the door. We'll open the house at 6:30 to allow plenty of time for you to find your seat. We do have free, onsite parking, and if that fills up, there are several lots within walking distance. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

If you get to Forsyth early, feel free to take a stroll downtown to enjoy a couple of special holiday events: Forsyth Main Street's Jingle & Mingle and the Candy Cane Crawl. If you're looking to grab a bite to eat, our friends at the Forsyth Convention & Visitors Bureau can point you in the right direction.

We can't wait to welcome you to an evening of Craic, Ceol agus Traidisiún (fun, music, tradition), featuring the Celtic Angels, the Celtic Knights and the Trinity Ensemble. It's going to be an amazing night!

It’s been a busy day at the FAC. Our Hubbard Elementary 4th graders stopped by for a lesson in stage lighting. Then our friends from Flowers by Helen dropped in to make sure our main entrance looks festive. And finally, our MPHS Tri-M members had a tree trimming party in the lobby.

Get ready for our first holiday event of the season. Put on your favorite Christmas shirt and join us tomorrow night for our annual Empty Bowls Dinner and Ugly Sweater Soiree. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Monroe County Fine Arts Center. This fundraiser, held by the MPHS Art Club, raises money for our Monroe County Backpack Buddies to help fight hunger in our community. Tickets are $20 at the door. Your purchase includes entry to the event, a soup dinner, and one student-made ceramic artwork. We hope to see you there!
