Join us for an incredible panel tomorrow at 1:30 PM during the 2024 Big Sky Indigifest featuring powerhouse Indigenous women who are making waves in media, fashion, art, and entrepreneurship:
Kelly Holmes (Mnicoujou Lakota) - Founder of Native Max New Media & Native Max Magazine. Kelly is a trailblazer in Indigenous media, fashion, and entrepreneurship. She’s empowering Native voices and fostering cultural pride through her work.
Yolanda OldDwarf (Apsaalooké Nation) - Founder of Sweet Sage Woman. Yolanda’s clothing brand is a beautiful fusion of traditional Apsaalooké designs and contemporary fashion. She’s a beacon of empowerment, using her brand to uplift others and inspire courage.
Angela Howe-Parrish (Apsáalooke Nation & descendant of Pikuni Nation) - The visionary behind Choke Cherry Creek. Angela is known for her stunning beadwork and contemporary Indigenous fashion. Her designs, showcased at New York and Paris Indigenous Fashion Weeks, celebrate the beauty and resilience of Indigenous culture.
Erin LaMere (Nakoda Tribe) - Owner of Rezolution / Erin LaMere. Erin is a master behind the lens, capturing the essence of Indigenous life and culture. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, and she’s become a sought-after photographer for weddings, graduations, and more.
The panel will be moderated NWL Program Director, Latisha Buck Elk Thunder, and Accelerate Montana's Workforce Development Program Specialist, Ticia Cliff.
The 2024 Big Sky Indigifest will take place at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown Billings, MT September 5th and 6th.
