Three Odyssiad® Gold Medalists have made it into the Screening Auditions of The Cliburn 2025:

- Shangru Du - 2022 Odyssiad® Gold Medalist
- Jialin Yao - 2023 Odyssiad® Gold Medalist
- Jiarui Cheng - 2024 Odyssiad® Gold Medalist

Shangru, Jialin, and Jiarui are among the 77 pianists selected from an applicant pool of 340 pianists to come to Fort Worth to participate in the 2025 Cliburn Screening Auditions (March 16–22, 2025). Representing 22 countries and regions, these pianists will each perform live recitals on the campus of TCU. 30 of these young artists will then be selected to advance to the Seventeenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (May 21–June 7, 2025).

Congratulations, Christina! Also a Gold Medalist in the International Keyboard Odyssiad & Festival, U.S.A.

Congratulations to Christina Sung, 2nd prize winner of the 2024 Philadelphia International Piano Competition Junior Division, on being named the winner of the 2024-2025 Music Teachers National Association Southwest Division Junior Piano Competition, winning in six states, including California, Arizona, Nevada, and more. Seven Division Finalists will compete in the MTNA National Finals, March 15-19, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. For three years consecutively, Christina won the MTNA Southwest Division and went to the National Finals.

Congratulations to 2023 Odyssiad® Gold Medalist Jialin Yao for some incredible summer achievements: Second prize and the Best Chamber Music prize at the first Concurso Internacional de Piano “Ciudad de Málaga”; invited to the Ravinia Institute by Midori; first prize at the Fou T’song Piano Competition; performed the Yellow River Concerto with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra; received the President’s Award at the 2024 Seattle International Piano Festival and Competition; invited to return in 2026 for a recital at Seattle Symphony Hall. 🎉🤩👏

Congratulations to the 2024 Gold Medalist in Solo and Concerto, Artem Kuznetsov!

Thank you to everyone who attended our concerts over the weekend at Dairy Arts Center. Our musicians really shined bright, led by the amazing Devin Patrick Hughes, and soloist Artem Kuznetsov was incredible and played for three wonderful audiences.

We also performed the Colorado premiere of Florence Price's first symphony. An important step in the long march for equality is to showcase voices that symphonic music has neglected and failed to represent in the past by performing, recording, teaching, and sharing the life and work of Florence Price.

We'll see you at the next concert!
