β€œSound di Abeng, an evening of reasoning with Chief Richard Currie”

The State of Accompong in Partnership with the Island SPACE Caribbean Museum invites you to attend a Meet and Greet with the Paramount Chief Richard Currie from the Cockpit Country.

The Chief is eager to share with the Caribbean diaspora about the indigenous Maroon culture. We will be having a panel discussion with esteemed Indigenous persons to dive into Maroon history, and their relevance today, correcting the narrative of the Moors / Maroons, and addressing the challenges and accomplishments of the Accompong Maroons.

Most importantly he will be sharing his vision for building and fortifying relationships within local and international Indigenous Communities through culture and empowerment.

Saturday May 25, from 3pm, at Island SPACE Caribbean Museum.
