There are many great events for all ages, including STEMtastic Day of Discovery, Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival, Mutt Strutt, Junior Fun Run, Junior Parade, Craft Show, 5K Race and the celebrated Grand Parade. Excited to announce the Grand Marshal for the 87th Annual Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade - Grand Marshal Tito Ortiz

UFC Hall of Famer, Entrepreneur, and Community Leader

Tito Ortiz is a former UFC Light Heavyweight World Champion, UFC Hall of Famer, and one of the most recognizable figures in mixed martial arts history. Known for his relentless fighting style and championship mindset, Ortiz built a legendary career inside the octagon, earning a reputation as one of the sport’s toughest competitors.

Beyond his fighting career, Ortiz has successfully transitioned into entrepreneurship and acting. He is the proud owner of Tito’s Cantina in Cape Coral, Florida, where he brings his passion for hospitality and community engagement to life. In addition to running his business, he serves as the head assistant wrestling coach at Ida Baker High School, mentoring young athletes and instilling in them the values of discipline, perseverance, and self-improvement.

Ortiz became a resident of Cape Coral in 2022 after witnessing the resilience and unity of the local community during relief efforts in Matlacha, Pine Island, and North Captiva following Hurricane Ian. Inspired by the town’s spirit, he made the life-changing decision to move his entire family from California to Florida, fully embracing the Cape Coral lifestyle.

Now deeply involved in the community, Ortiz continues to give back through mentorship, business leadership, and charitable efforts, proving that his fighting spirit extends far beyond the cage.
