We are a little over a month away from our first horse show of the new season, with some exciting changes coming your way at Southern Valley Ranch & Rescue

For everyone who says they miss concessions at our shows, be sure to enjoy some food from La Bella Morelia!

For those who need a pleasure tune up before 58th GA FEDERATION STATE HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW, come join us as we run a double judged state practice show.

For those who missed running barrels out here, come join us for an evening of racing!

For those who, like me, absolutely love listening to live music but don’t have many family friendly options in Middle Georgia, come enjoy an evening of live music by Heath Peacock.

And of course, for those who like to indulge with a beverage (or several) doing any or all of the above, come join us for drinks from The Daisy Tequila Bar!

Please tag and share away so we can make this the event of the summer!

Drink water where your horse drinks, a horse will never drink bad water. Make your bed where the cat sleeps peacefully. Eat fruit touched by a worm. It fearlessly collects mushrooms on which insects perch. Plant a tree dug by the mole. Dig a hole where the birds hide from the heat. Sleep and wake up at the same time as the birds, you will reap the golden grains of life. Eat more greens, you will have stronger legs and a resilient heart like the spirit of the forests. Look at the sky more often and talk less so that silence can enter your heart. and your soul is calm and your life is peaceful.

After more than a decade of rescuing horses, we have decided to close that chapter of our story.

We have five horses and two bonded senior donkeys we are looking for another rescue to transfer to. These are not broke horses. They are horses that were rescued from worst case scenarios who have had their trust in humans absolutely broken. We will not consider placing them anywhere that does not have the knowledge, time, and funds to handle horses with their background.

Attention boarders and students:

Do NOT put your horses in stalls. It is not fair for those coming behind you to continuously clean up after other people and foot the bill for new shavings and square bales in stalls where horses didn’t have permission to be in to begin with. Stalls are not included in the cost of pasture board and are assigned to barn horses-who utilize them under the direction of Tiffany and Bo.

There will be no lessons Thursday October 12th-Sunday October 15th as we enjoy Fall Break with family. Please contact us about getting your lesson scheduled for the following week!

Good afternoon all! We are trying to help our friends with Peach County Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation find homes for 3 donkeys, 20-25 minis, and 14 horses. If you are interested, please reach out!

Update: hey all! Some updated information here…these animals are are located in Henry county at Noah’s Ark and are up-to date on their coggins. There is an amazing group of folks working to get them caught and sorted.

Update: hey all! I just want to say you’ve been amazing at getting the word out and getting horses placed. I also want to say the original numbers given here were only guesstimates given to us….Now that horses, ponies, minis, and donkeys have started to be rehomed a new count has been taken. There are 43 horses (a mix of minis/ponies/horses), 5 donkeys, and 1 mule left to rehome. You guys have been amazing at reaching out and helping. Let’s keep that same energy going so we can find the rest of these sweet babies a soft landing!

Final update: As long as all commitments show up today, all equines have been placed!
