Christmas is….
You never know what someones beginnings are. This is mine. My humble spot. The place I go to laugh, cry, dream and reminisce. When I was a little girl this is where our grandmother would walk us down and talk to us about life. She told us that during hurricane season they would have to get in a pirogue ( she would say perow) boat and go across to safety. She also told stories of the boats passing by throwing them bananas and goods.

I’ve rolled down these levees in cardboard boxes, not a care. Caught dragonflies, picked blackberries and pecans, climb trees and built clubhouses with the best of them. Life was easy, life was simple and somehow I wanted more.

Some of us come from the purest form of love….and thats what makes us who we are.
