We display the works of local artist Donna Burgess in the convention center meeting rooms as part of our permanent collection. Burgess’s art explores the colorful, natural beauty found in the heart of Florida’s Emerald Coast. Local marine life like dolphins, sea turtles, marlin, pelicans, palms, and other coastal fauna and flora are often subjects of her paintings.
We are honored to feature Ms. Burgess’s work at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Convention Center and to offer her unique coastal vision for the enjoyment of our guests and visitors. You can view more at Donna Burgess’s online gallery and on Facebook. 🎨

Attention, Patriots! The 8th Annual Emerald Coast Gala is fast approaching.

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 13, 2024, at the -Fort Walton Beach Convention Center.

This evening is our chance to honor and support the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

The night will feature inspiring warrior success stories, a presentation of our Be Resilient Program, and a keynote speech by John Arroyo, a former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret. John’s journey from a troubled youth to a decorated officer, after surviving a gunshot wound to the throat, is a testament to the power of resilience and faith.

Enjoy dinner, swing dancing to the Hashtag Swing Band, and participate in our silent auction. Your involvement helps us continue our mission to heal those with the visible and invisible wounds of war.
