Another full weekend at the retreat center! We welcomed PCEFT for a 4-day training session, hosted a Newcomers Reception for St. Thomas' welcoming 30 new members (Incredible!), and hosted The Greater Philadelphia Mar Thoma Fellowship in our Chapel this week.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is darkness, light;

Our retreat center had a busy weekend of events, including hosting an Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania meeting, the Mi Cafe con Dios Bible Study and Worship, and welcoming the Greater Philadelphia Mar Thoma Fellowship for their first weekly service using our church and fellowship in our Parish House.

The GPMTF held its first English Divine Service on Sunday, Jan 26th, led by Rev. Arun Samuel Varghese. We thank God for His boundless grace! The service was further blessed by the presence of Rev. Biju P. Simon, Rev. Jeff Jack Philips, Diocesan Council Member Mrs. Valsamma Mathew, Diocesan Lay Chaplain Mr. Tom Philip, and many pioneering members of the Mar Thoma community in the Greater Philadelphia Area!

Thank you all for your continued prayers, support, presence, and guidance! We ask that you keep praying for our fellowship. God bless us all.

In remembrance of our beloved Priest-in-charge, The Reverend Canon Emily Barr Richards, who passed away one year ago this month. Rev. Emily was a big part of starting our retreat center, and a beloved mentor and friend to me. She will be forever in our hearts.

Yesterday, St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Whitemarsh hosted a Pack-A-Thon for Feed the Hungry, packing 10,000 meals in less than 2 hours in honor of MLK Day.
