Let me introduce myself; My name is Amita Patel I live in Fort Wayne Indiana for the past 25 years. I am married and have two wonderful children. In the beginning, I worked at my local grocery store for about a couple of years. After having kids I was a stay-at-home mom while my husband worked full-time. I volunteered at my kids’ schools when they were growing up, aside from that, I was going to the gym to lose the baby weight. Throughout my workout journey, I was inspired by the different trainers to get certified in group fitness classes. I decided to get certified in group fitness and personal training while my kids went to school. I could go teach classes and work on myself because I never wanted to put my kids in the child care center. Meanwhile, in my free time, I was also helping all my friends and family with their weddings and events with my creativity. I helped them hire vendors, decor ideas, DIY projects, wardrobe malfunctions, and even choreograph the dance for whoever needed it. I have helped to manage all kinds of events including cruise weddings, destination baby showers, sweet 16s, graduation parties, wedding receptions, and arangetrams (Indian classical dance show). I have worked for almost 10 years in the fitness industry, I love teaching but I need something more. This was something I need to do to find myself and to work as I like to keep my mind busy. When the pandemic hit, I decided to study wedding and event planning. I took three courses from the QC School of Event and Wedding Planning; I got certified in international weddings and event planning, luxury wedding planning, and event decor. I have a passion for designing, managing, and planning events. As my kids are grown adults, I can finally do something that I enjoy. I then decided to start my own wedding and event planning business as I have gained experience in the event industry.
