The BDHS Marching Saints has had a very musically talented young lady, Grace Tippmann, who would have been a junior, to pass away. The BDHS Band Family has been asked to provide the desserts for the meal following the funeral.

The Bishop Dwenger Band has been asked to provide desserts for the luncheon following Grace's funeral. Grace E. Tippmann, 16, of Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was born on June 5, 2008 in Fort Wayne to Steven & Jennifer (Halter) Tippmann II. Grace was an incoming Junior at Bishop Dwenger High School where she was very active in the band. She was well known for he...
We ask you to please keep the family of our flute player, Grace Tippmann, in your prayers. Grace passed away last evening.
We also ask for prayer for our Band and School Community as we go through this unexpected loss. Grace was a shining light in our band that will never be replaced. Her smile could light up our band room.
We are having a get together today for our current and former families at 3pm at the school chapel. Please enter at door 1A if you wish to attend.
We will have a Mass for Grace tomorrow at 6pm as well (Door 1A) at the school chapel.

We are super proud of BD Performing Arts Grad, Jacob Grimm! Jacob plays snare drum for the Purdue All American Marching Band. This weekend, they participated in the Indy 500 festivities.
Let’s get geared up for Marching Band 2024 Season! We still have openings! BD students who will be in the 9th - 12th grade can also earn a high school fine arts credit! Any student who will be at a BD partner school in the 7th and 8th grade are also welcome to join! We would love to have you! This year is also the year for the Performing Arts to take a big trip during Spring Break! Don’t miss out on the fun, learning music, dance and flags work. But most of all spiritual growth together.

The Bishop Dwenger Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard competed Saturday in the Indiana Percussion Association contest in the PSA Class at Avon High School. The Saints finished 6th in the State. They were 3rd in music and 4th in visuals. Congratulations, Saints!
We are super proud of the BDHS Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard Ensemble! They left it all out on the floor today. They placed 6th in finals and 3rd in music.
As our season has come to an end, we are truly going to miss our seniors! Once you are a part of the band family, you are always a member! You will forever have a place in our hearts.
Congratulations to the Saints! You are unique, special and very dear to our hearts. Awesome job today! Once a Saint, always Saint!
That’s a wrap! Last Winter Drum Line and Winter Guard practice of the season before finals! They had a top notch practice. This group has been amazing! The seniors should be proud of the legacy they are leaving

Thinking back to the 2016-2017 school year, we began with 13 ambitious and dedicated percussionist. The foundation and tradition continues to grow. The growth in the band programs has been very exciting! People tend to forget there have been several State Championships, State Runner-up and many State Finalists placings. But the memories are what we hold onto and share the stories of the past. We would like to thank everyone for all of the support we have received from alumni, parents, administration and the community. You are all a part of this wonderful journey. Here is a short clip of our 2024 winter memories.
The continued growing and talented winter drum line is having a great practice this evening. We are missing some members due to illness. They are in our prayers for a speedy recovery. Our group is super excited to work in the gym on visuals. It’s time for us to “dig in” to come up with “gold” at contest! The Klondike Gold Rush 2024
The best seat in the house! We are preparing for contest at Carroll HS today. Everyone should come out and support your BDHS Performing Arts. The Saints perform at 4:27pm. I would suggest you arrive no later than 3pm. So you can park and get your ticket. (You can only enter the performance area between drum line performances. You cannot enter when someone is performing.)
What do you do in band class on Fat Tuesday? Have some fun by learning how to play a common Mardi Gras song, The Second Line.
