Honey Plant specializes in botanical designs, which mainly includes making living art from desert and tropical plants. These are easy-to-care-for plants that come in unique shapes, textures, and colors. We offer container gardens for all occasions as well as a rotating assortment of vertical/hanging displays. We also design custom arrangements for weddings and events.
Going beyond plants, however, is that we deeply care about our pollinators, native bees and honey bees. Our goal is to help local honey-makers and beekeepers sell their products as well as establish our own hives over time. Our plants and people rely heavily on the continued success and survival of our nectar-loving friends.
We are Cassandra and Logan and are originally from Indiana (Logan grew up in Fort Wayne). After graduating from Ball State, we moved to Austin, TX, for eight years to see what we could do and learn- and we learned a lot! Logan continues working as creative director for an advertising company based in Austin and Cassandra learned the art of floral arranging, plant designing, and floral photography. Both of us also developed a strong interest in protecting our beneficial pollinators after attending beekeeping workshops and actively learning more about humans’ relationships with plants and bees. Now, back in Indiana and closer to family, we hope to bring the joy of succulents, cacti, green leafy plants, and honey to Fort Wayne!
