In May of 1949, with the assistance of the Abbott Magic Co., Albert Stoner expanded his in-home basement magic shop into a full-scale retail operation at 712 S. Harrison Street called Stoner’s Magic Shop. 75 years later, Stoner’s Funstore is still the home for all things magical, mystifying, unique, spooky, and most importantly- FUN!

This year our community helped us to celebrate our 75th anniversary in a big way. On June 28th we held our “Seventy-Five Years of Magic” show to a sold out crowd on The Landing. The next day, Mayor Tucker declared “Albert Stoner Day” in the city of Fort Wayne. Earlier this month, on December 6th, we presented our first holiday magic show to a packed house at the First Presbyterian Theater. There were plenty of magic tricks, costume stitches, fart sprays, pressed dresses, window displays built, and a lot of time with our amazing costumers in between!

Thank you to our amazing community and customers for supporting us in what we do. See you all in 2025, and here’s to 75 more years of magic at 712 S. Harrison Street!🎉✨❤️

MAGIC OF THE HOLIDAYS is THIS FRIDAY! We are thrilled to be bringing Stoner’s very own Elmer Smith out of retirement for the show!

Elmer, at 95 years old, is Fort Wayne’s oldest magician. He purchased the first magic trick ever sold by the Stoner family in 1949. Later, he married into the family, and was manager of our store from 1951-1953.
