Today we are featuring our Emerald Bride, Christine.

Christine is a special Emerald Bride because she trusted us with not only her dress shopping journey but with us working with Allure Bridals on creating her custom dream dress!

Christine is wearing our Jayde dress with custom sleeves attached that Allure specifically designed JUST for her.

This is why we stress to give yourself time to dress shop so you don't have to worry about time and are able to get exactly what you want.

We asked her what she loved about her gown and this is what she had to say...

"Adding the sleeves! The dress alone was gorgeous and I loved the adjuster/ bra situation already inside so my waist/ chest felt super secure but the sleeves were perfection."

We absolutely are so happy for Christine and so grateful that we were able to bring her dream dress to life!

What does security mean to you?

Having security is being around someone who is able to help you feel secure within yourself. 🤍

You shouldn’t be with someone who makes you feel insecure, that your flaws are silly, or that your feelings don’t matter.

It already is so much work to find security within ourselves but it sure makes it a lot easier when you’re around someone who helps you feel secure within yourself.

We all have insecurities, some days it’s worse than others but that doesn’t make you a bad person… it makes you HUMAN. And humans need to feel that security within and around them 💕

Today we are throwing the spotlight on our sweet Emerald Bride Branigan 🩷

Branigan holds such a special place in our hearts! When she submitted her real bride answers, we just felt like we had to share what she said her experience was with us.

“First of all I search many bridal salons prior to booking any appointment. I read about Emerald from social media and the website. On the website I saw women that looked like me, curvy. I saw women of color. I saw same s*x marriage. I saw tattooed women. No bride looked the same. I've learned through the wedding planning process that I only want to invest in small businesses that align with my values and that is Emerald: small, diverse, size inclusive and supports all love. Before I even made my appointment at Emerald, I knew I wanted to buy my dress there. I showed up to my appointment with my wedding binder. I had printed a few dresses from the website and social media and I really had my heart set on the Lainey dress. I printed a photo from the Emerald IG of this beautiful curvy red head. I thought this dress looks stunning on her, it might look good on me too! My bridal consultant happen to be the beautiful red head in the Lainey dress. I couldn't help but think it was meant to be. Caitlyn picked out a few dresses for me to try on. But the Lainey dress was the one. Caitlyn made the process fun and meaningful. She helped me to stay focused even when some family members were clouding my judgement. Every time I talked to someone from Emerald's or went there to pick up the dress, I left feeling like those girls are my friends. Those are some hype girls! They made brides feel amazing in their skin.”

How to choose the ✨ PERF ✨ bridal party!

There are no rules when it comes to choosing your bridal party, except choose the people who want the best for you no matter what.

Sometimes it’s easy for bridesmaids to want to live their wedding dreams through you, but remember this is your wedding!!!

Your bridesmaids should be there for the laughs, tears, and decisions. Wedding planning can be stressful, and there are already so many decisions that need to be made it is important to make sure you have people around you who are going to support your decisions! 🤍

So whether you have one bridesmaid or ten, they need to support every decision you make and be there to support you along the way. 🥰

Today we are celebrating our real Bride, Bella and her husband Jalen ✨

They tied the know on July of 2024 at the Silos in Bono, Arkansas! Bella highly recommend her planner who owns the venue! If you are looking for a venue in Arkansas reach out to her!

You can see that Bella is wearing one of our classic, timeless gowns named Rema by . This high neck features such a stunning open back and with side cut outs. Whenever Bella put it on she never wanted to take it off! It was made for her. 🥰

Body Positivity is something that we ALL deal with. No matter what gender, age, ethnicity, shape you are.. we ALL deal with it. Sometimes it’s small and sometimes it feels huge. Like you can’t look past your flaws, or you feel so bad about yourself because you “ate terrible” or “drank too much.”

That is okay, and that is NORMAL. Our bodies are meant to move, roll, function, eat, drink and most importantly keep us safe! Taking care of yourself and your body is so vital for your happiness! If you are constantly tearing yourself down, you will never feel amazing and confident. It all starts with how YOU talk to yourself. ❣️

So remember, we ALL have flaws and insecurities. You are not alone by any means. Give yourself some grace and be kind to yourself ✨

What is the actual definition of Bridal?
“Of or relating to a Bride or a wedding.”

Notice how the definition doesn’t say anything about what that LOOKS like… that is because there is not one look for bridal. If you feel bridal with all the sparkles then great! But don’t force yourself into sparkles of sparkles don’t make you feel bridal at all.. or even like yourself.

When you feel Bridal you should feel like yourself just elevated for your special day. You shouldn’t try to be something you’re not, or be trying to impress anyone! This is YOUR dress. 💞

Each one of us on the team have a different description of Bridal and even though we are professionals we are still all so different. That is OKAY!

So trust your gut and stick to what makes you feel like YOU.. and feeling bridal will come naturally soon after ✨

Today we are celebrating Emerald Bride Hailey and her husband Phil!

They tied the knot on 10/03/24 at the Marty Leonard Chapel here in Fort Worth! Which is such a Beautiful chapel in the city.

Hailey was such a sweet Emerald Bride and she fell in love with our Allison dress and here is why… “This dress was love at first sight. It was posted as a story on their instagram before I even got engaged and I had screenshotted it. I always knew I wanted a full lace dress that felt like me and was comfortable. When I put it on and saw myself I knew instantly.”

We are so happy to have Hailey and her husband be apart of our Emerald Family - we can’t wait to share more of their love story and journey 💕

How to prepare for your Bridal Appointment today! ✨

First and foremost BE KIND TO YOURSELF! That’s the most important step. Give yourself grace and know the process will workout the way it is supposed to! 🩷

- Make sure you get good sleep, drink water and make sure you eat! We promise if you each lunch it’s okay, you’re not going to change a whole dress size - take care of yourself!!!

- Make sure you do research, check out the bridal boutiques social media’s & websites that you’re going to! See if there’s anything in particular you want to try on!

- Remember, keep an open mind!!! You might fall in love with something that is completely different than what you think! And that is TOTALLY okay.

What does having security mean to you?

It doesn’t mean you just have people following you daily to make sure you’re all good like a celebrity.

But it is people who are there for you, when it’s hard to be there for yourself. They’re the people you can count on and trust when it comes to assisting you in making important decisions. They’re the kind of people that no matter what decisions you make, as long as you’re happy and the decisions are putting you in harm - they’ll stand by your side.

Having people around you who can help protect you, keep you safe, and make sure you are GOOD is so underrated.

You always take care of yourself, it is okay to let people take care of you. 💕

Surrounding yourself with people who genuinely support you and whatever decisions you make is SO important.

Remember, dress shopping is meant to be fun, stress free and memorable. But honestly, sometimes it isn't and that is OKAY. That is why we preachhhhhh about surrounding yourself with people who want what is best for you and only care about your happiness when it comes to your wedding.

Sometimes friends try to live their life through you because they aren't married yet, or maybe even mom can't grasp the fact you aren't loving something she always imagined you in. But your friend who has your back reminding not only them but you that this is YOUR decision, and how you feel is the most important is a special person to keep around.

Again, this is your day... you want to have people around that understand that.
