Today we are celebrating our Emerald Bride, Makayla ✨

Makayla and her husband Chris celebrated their love May of 2024 (almost happy anniversary ☺️) and they were going for a laid back, casual, rustic theme.

Makayla fell in love with our Nina dress for so many reasons, but I wanted to share her experience with us 🤍

She didn't make me feel pressured to like something and she helped me determine what I liked or didn't like without making me feel bad if I didn't know why I didn't like a specific dress. She listened to what I wanted and every dress she chose for me was beautiful. I was grateful for her being so laidback and fun to talk to. It made the process so easy and an experience that I will always remember.”

We understand it’s hard to be open and honest sometimes, especially if are worried about hurting our feelings if you say no.

Today we are putting the spotlight on our Emerald Bride, Juanita ✨

Juanita came to us and fell in love with our Emma dress but not the color… luckily is amazing and we were able to customize a color that was PERFECT for her!
(That was one of Juanita’s FAV parts about her dress)

We can’t wait to share more of Juanita’s love story!

Her best relationship advice is to share your thoughts, feelings and needs openly and honestly… creating a safe space for vulnerability and trust. 💕

No just means it isn't a yes, and that is totally fine.

Do you get to pick the dresses you try on?

We are a small shop so naturally all our dresses are out for all to see!! The racks of dresses are just as much a part of our decor as the mirrors on the wall❤️

SO….

Can you pick the dresses you try on? To a certain extent, yes! You have full access to our dresses on the lookbook to pick a few out before you come in!! This can be texted to us before or after our little precall we do with you🫶🏻

Can you browse our dresses while you’re in the shop?? Also yes! We just ask that you let us know which dresses you’re interested in so we can get them pulled ourselves!

We know these dresses like they’re our own family! When you ask for something that’ll sn**ch you in the waist but feel comfortable all night, we know EXACTLY where to go on our racks to do just that!!

Today we are featuring our Emerald Bride, Christine.

Christine is a special Emerald Bride because she trusted us with not only her dress shopping journey but with us working with Allure Bridals on creating her custom dream dress!

Christine is wearing our Jayde dress with custom sleeves attached that Allure specifically designed JUST for her.

This is why we stress to give yourself time to dress shop so you don't have to worry about time and are able to get exactly what you want.

We asked her what she loved about her gown and this is what she had to say...

"Adding the sleeves! The dress alone was gorgeous and I loved the adjuster/ bra situation already inside so my waist/ chest felt super secure but the sleeves were perfection."

We absolutely are so happy for Christine and so grateful that we were able to bring her dream dress to life!

What does security mean to you?

Having security is being around someone who is able to help you feel secure within yourself. 🤍

You shouldn’t be with someone who makes you feel insecure, that your flaws are silly, or that your feelings don’t matter.

It already is so much work to find security within ourselves but it sure makes it a lot easier when you’re around someone who helps you feel secure within yourself.

We all have insecurities, some days it’s worse than others but that doesn’t make you a bad person… it makes you HUMAN. And humans need to feel that security within and around them 💕

Today we are throwing the spotlight on our sweet Emerald Bride Branigan 🩷

Branigan holds such a special place in our hearts! When she submitted her real bride answers, we just felt like we had to share what she said her experience was with us.

“First of all I search many bridal salons prior to booking any appointment. I read about Emerald from social media and the website. On the website I saw women that looked like me, curvy. I saw women of color. I saw same s*x marriage. I saw tattooed women. No bride looked the same. I've learned through the wedding planning process that I only want to invest in small businesses that align with my values and that is Emerald: small, diverse, size inclusive and supports all love. Before I even made my appointment at Emerald, I knew I wanted to buy my dress there. I showed up to my appointment with my wedding binder. I had printed a few dresses from the website and social media and I really had my heart set on the Lainey dress. I printed a photo from the Emerald IG of this beautiful curvy red head. I thought this dress looks stunning on her, it might look good on me too! My bridal consultant happen to be the beautiful red head in the Lainey dress. I couldn't help but think it was meant to be. Caitlyn picked out a few dresses for me to try on. But the Lainey dress was the one. Caitlyn made the process fun and meaningful. She helped me to stay focused even when some family members were clouding my judgement. Every time I talked to someone from Emerald's or went there to pick up the dress, I left feeling like those girls are my friends. Those are some hype girls! They made brides feel amazing in their skin.”

There are no rules when it comes to choosing your bridal party, except choose the people who want the best for you no matter what.

Sometimes it’s easy for bridesmaids to want to live their wedding dreams through you, but remember this is your wedding!!!

Your bridesmaids should be there for the laughs, tears, and decisions. Wedding planning can be stressful, and there are already so many decisions that need to be made it is important to make sure you have people around you who are going to support your decisions! 🤍

So whether you have one bridesmaid or ten, they need to support every decision you make and be there to support you along the way. 🥰

Today we are celebrating our real Bride, Bella and her husband Jalen ✨

They tied the know on July of 2024 at the Silos in Bono, Arkansas! Bella highly recommend her planner who owns the venue! If you are looking for a venue in Arkansas reach out to her!

You can see that Bella is wearing one of our classic, timeless gowns named Rema by . This high neck features such a stunning open back and with side cut outs. Whenever Bella put it on she never wanted to take it off! It was made for her. 🥰

Body Positivity is something that we ALL deal with. No matter what gender, age, ethnicity, shape you are.. we ALL deal with it. Sometimes it’s small and sometimes it feels huge. Like you can’t look past your flaws, or you feel so bad about yourself because you “ate terrible” or “drank too much.”

That is okay, and that is NORMAL. Our bodies are meant to move, roll, function, eat, drink and most importantly keep us safe! Taking care of yourself and your body is so vital for your happiness! If you are constantly tearing yourself down, you will never feel amazing and confident. It all starts with how YOU talk to yourself. ❣️

So remember, we ALL have flaws and insecurities. You are not alone by any means. Give yourself some grace and be kind to yourself ✨
