DJ Bogey
Since the 1940’s, the era has demanded the presence of an on stage band, live performances, and tight ass beats that required minimal set up and hours of entertainment coining the terminology “Disk Jockey”.
DJ Bogey is just that - an on stage band, a live performance with tight ass beats, with minimal set up and hours, upon hours of entertainment! Bogey has been in the game for 10 years. His sultry swag and outlandish disk ideas started in the one and only “Windy City” -Chicago, Illinois. Before he took his talent serious; he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1999 as an Aviation Electronics Technician. He has always been good with his hands. After being stationed in Houston for four long years; he hadn’t realized how much he missed being on the stage. He would go to house parties, friends birthday parties - even showed up for their kids and the first thing he would ask them is, “Where is the dj?” In today’s age, our generation is more adapted to alternative dj methods like using your iPhone and connecting it into a loud portable speaker or just using the radio and turn it up loud while using Spotify, Pandora or YouTube to play songs from a customized list of personal likes. DJ Bogey saw that people forgot to communicate how they feel when they are around people that they love with a live dj. Real mixes and smash beats were just as important to him as having a big momma, or the cool cup lady in the neighborhood.
Currently, he is the resident DJ for the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Chief Petty Officers Association. He is a Chief in the Navy and he has served his country for over 19 years. In his free time he likes to read, play the piano and he is a volunteer at Fort Worth Camp Carter YMCA. Retirement for him is not an option - it’s only the beginning. Now that the tables have turned - he is ready to turntables in your neighborhood!
