One of the greatest blessings as a photographer is when a family trusts you to capture their precious little love’s first year of life.
It’s even MORE special when it’s YOUR family. 🫶
This gorgeous girl has been nothing short of a “Rae” of sunshine this past year, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture it all.

I’m not usually one to share a before and after, but after being knee-deep in editing baseball teams the last few weeks, and at times questioning my sanity in doing so 🙃 I really just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share this final team photo with you all.
Sometimes, yes, it’s just a quick lighting correction and they can head to print. Other times, some images require extensive, detailed editing in photoshop, like this one.

Here's a quick before and after of a team I photographed recently. I thought this video transition really showed all the changes I had to make, the best. Lost count?? Yeah, so did I, but what’s important is that even though I didn’t capture the perfect team shot right there on the field, I was confident that after many hours of editing, they’d have one in their print packages that they'll receive soon, and that’s what counts, my friends! 🗝

I had the honor of recently photographing and coordinating Katie and Kyle's wedding at a quaint little space in Opelika called Stone & Ivy and it was perfect for their intimate celebration!

It hits a little bit different when it’s your family being featured. 🥹

Grateful, honored, a little bit nervous to be on the OTHER end of the camera… So many emotions ran through my mind when we were asked to be the first feature family of Harris County Living’s inaugural magazine edition, but ultimately, we knew this would be a wonderful opportunity to share our hearts and a little bit of our story with those in our community that we may not have been blessed to meet yet!

Yes, we have many irons in the fire, but just like I told one of my sweet friends recently, as long as you’re using that flame as a light to guide others, God will work everything out for good, and that is truly our goal, every single day.
