Happy Friday, KMIT Friends and Family!

I had a pretty rare opportunity this past week to step on the OTHER side of the camera, and not only was the photographer sweet enough to take this updated headshot for me (it had only been 14 years since the last one), I got new pictures with my favorite guys, that I can't wait to share with everyone soon, so thank you, Tori Greathouse for that fun experience!

I felt now was as good of time as any to do my yearly introduction, for all of the new followers that have found their way to KMIT, so…

WELCOME!
I'm LeAnna Morgan Key - YES - my last name is where the business name stemmed from, and I am absolutely honored that you are here!
I'm a graduate of Harris County High, C/O 2006, (Go Tigers!) and was blessed with the opportunity to jump right into the event industry fresh out of high school, as my family owns Oakhurst Farm, and built a gorgeous venue in the summer of 2005!

I coordinated weddings for 7 years there, until I became pregnant with my first child, SJ, and in 2012 created my own business, Key Moments in Time Photography, where I went on to specialize in Portrait and Lifestyle Photography!

In 2016, my husband and I welcomed our 2nd son, Ace, and being a mother of two very active little boys, I immediately learned the importance of patience, mastered the art of tenacity, and if time had taught me anything, it was that moments were sweet, yet definitely fleeting.

Aside from running this full time photography and coordinating business, I also oversee 100% of the event operations at Oakhurst Farm Weddings and Events, and just this past October, my husband and I took a leap of faith and bought a SECOND event venue, just down the road, called Olde Whitesville!
It's a beautiful, historic chapel that was established in 1854 and was completely remodeled by a sweet family a few years ago. When we stumbled upon the opportunity to purchase it in 2024, we just couldn’t say no!

With that being said, I have spent the last 20 years in some way, shape or form serving clients in the event industry and have absolutely loved meeting and working with all personalities along the way!

Would you believe me if I told you this handsome Senior's Mama reached out to me almost 5 years ago to photograph his HIGH SCHOOL Senior photos - only to have the world shut down with COVID, and we never got to fulfill the session.
The excitement I had when their name showed up in my inbox this past December, and learned that he was now a SENIOR at Southern Union! You better believe we were ready to capture this milestone. 💙

KMIT Friends, Family and ,
2024 has been an amazing year, full of MANY, many beautiful memories created, coordinated and captured.
It has also been an incredible year of growth on many levels for not just myself as a business owner, but my precious family, as well.
Just this year alone, on top of producing the highest number of images to ever be released from KMIT, I also took 100% ownership of not one, but TWO, wedding venues right here in our Harris County community.

Words cannot describe the abundance of blessings that God has provided for our family, but all know that with great blessings comes great sacrifices and prayer.

All of which have tested every facet of my family’s well-being, as I took on so much in such a short amount of time.

With that being said, my services at KMIT will continue in 2025, but on a much more reduced scale.

Moving forward with photography, I will only be accepting a maximum of THREE weddings per MONTH, where I was handling anywhere from 1-3 a WEEK.

For Lifestyle Sessions (children, families, seniors, etc.), there will be a more structured schedule of when those will be booked, depending on the time of year, as I will no longer be photographing 7 days a week.
I try to do everything I can to make sure I fit in as many clients as possible, but it is evident over the last few months that I can’t keep up with a punctual editing timeline photographing 7 days a week, while running two full-time wedding venues, and the last thing a successful business owner wants to do is let down their clients because they can’t stick to a promised deadline.

Multiple months in 2025 are already booked out, so if you are interested in ANY type of photography for the coming year, whether it is wedding, lifestyle, or themed minis, PLEASE go ahead and reach out ASAP!
I will also be attending the PMB Broadcasting Bridal Show on January 12th, and Oakhurst's Premier Winter Wedding Show on February 16th, showcasing all three businesses (KMIT, Olde Whitesville, and Oakhurst) and a good bit of my dates typically book during these shows, so if you, or anyone you know, are interested in my services, this is your sign to go ahead and contact me before it’s too late!
