Belle Fleur will be open this Saturday the 2nd for the Christmas Stroll in Fowler! Stop by and see Mrs. Janet at the shop to look at our gift items and shop our premade bouquets we will have available (no custom orders, first come first serve). I, Emily, will be at the Christmas Bazaar at Sacred Heart starting at 9 AM. I will have a select few gifts, premade arrangements, and your favorite, local MBee’s honey!

!!!Long post alert!!!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Emily McCutcheon, the owner, only employee, delivery driver and receptionist for Belle Fleur! Haha for quite some time I’ve wanted to make a post on a bit of information to keep my dear friends and customers in the loop.
When I was 11, I went through a traumatic health experience that I didn’t realize was going to change my life and force me to readjust my lifestyle. At 14 I was able to put a name to the face of this issue, Endometriosis. Having stage 4 endo with ovarian cysts, I’m prone to an immense amount of lower abdomen pain that causes me to go in and out of consciousness in pain for 4-8 hours. It makes me weak for 1-2 weeks and takes a little while for me to recover from what my body goes through. After 9 years of my mother seeing me through it, we have learned there’s not much to be done to prevent or stop it.
Fast forward 2 years and I began experiencing a new kind of health condition. I was in school to be an esthetician and was driving 1.5 hours one way to school… I began having these “episodes” as we like to call them. My ears would start ringing, I’d lose my vision, I’d get nauseous and pass out for 7-10 minutes at a time. For 3 years, I saw neurologists and we ruled out any neurological issue last year. I’m now currently seeing a cardiologist to hopefully pinpoint this issue and find a way to combat these seizures.
With both of these separate conditions, I am prone to pass out, seize, be in extreme pain and be unresponsive.

I work alone, which can be scary with these conditions, because unless I have enough warning to call someone, it’s hard to control what happens next. If there’s a day when you stop by my shop and I happen to not be there, I apologize deeply and promise to be back in as soon as my body allows! I say all of this with the intention to inform my Belle Fleur family if ever you come into the shop and see this. If so, please call Mrs Chrissie at 765-464-4119 or 911 if you can’t get ahold of her. I am working on getting a seizure service dog in the meantime.

From my very first arrangement 4 years ago, to my most recent, today! Starting out in the back room of what is now Belle Fleur, I took a leap of faith and started learning floral arranging on my own to better serve Benton County, given there was no florist! Oh, how thankful I am that I started this journey. I love what I do and I can’t imagine being anywhere else or serving a better community! I can’t thank y’all for supporting me and my journey to get here! 🤍🌸💐

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!!🤍❄️

We have lots of flowers in the shop right now, along with neat little gifts and lots of fresh wreaths and door charms left! You’ll wanna get them before they are gone 😍

Belle Fleur will be closed Dec 10-17. This Belle is going out of town with her family to soak up all the Christmas cheer.
