Tomorrow - October 24th, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM, at City Hall! The City of Framingham is thrilled to announce the return of its highly-anticipated 4th Spooktacular event, a spine-tingling Halloween celebration like no other!

Get ready to trick-or-treat your way through the Memorial Building as we open the doors to families and residents in late October for an enjoyable evening.

This family-friendly event encourages parents and children to come together and participate. It's a fantastic opportunity to engage with your local government and have a little fun in the process. Come dressed in your favorite costume, and get ready for an evening of entertainment and lots of candy.

Planning out your May calendar? Add the Framingham House Tour on Sunday, May 21 to your list! This tour has a little bit of everything this year - rich history, incredible restoration, recent construction, and even an old factory made new.

This tour is the FHC’s (a 501(c)3 non-profit) largest event and all proceeds benefit our operations in support of our mission.

Laura, FHC Director of Programs & Education started off the week welcoming Framingham 3rd graders to Village Hall on The Common for their annual field trip to the Framingham History Center. We’re excited they get to explore the Village Hall on the Common and our two other historic buildings, the Academy Building and the Edgell Memorial Library.

Last Tuesday the ballroom was dedicated to the memory of Karen Foran Dempsey for her years of advocacy and unending perseverance to see Village Hall made accessible so everyone can enjoy the full beauty of this historic building.

It was a memorable night with remarks from dignitaries Governor Charlie Baker, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Senate President Karen Spilka, and Mayor Charlie Sisitsky.

Tonight at 5PM our beautiful ballroom will be dedicated in memory of the late Chair of the Framingham Disability Commission, Karen Dempsey, who fought tirelessly to make our historic venue ADA compliant.

Many dignitaries are scheduled to attend including Governor Charlie Baker, Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, Senate President Karen Spilka, Mayor Charlie Sisitsky, and other city officials.

Accessible and dignitary parking will be in the front and back of Village Hall.

Public parking will be available at Unitarian universalist church and the Danforth Museum parking lot.
