Would you believe me if I told you this sweet family almost through in the towel and said “forget it” within the first 15 minutes of our session?

Parents, listen up. I get it. Your 4 year old falling asleep on the drive and waking up in a less than ideal mood for family photos is not fun and almost immediately makes mom and dad tense up.

….but…just trust me. We are in no rush and my favorite images come from letting kiddos just do their thing.

I’m SO glad Theresa and David trusted the process and stuck around. We wouldn’t have gotten these stunning family shots otherwise!

So many times my brides rush through bridal portraits or skip them all together. Listen, I totally get it! If the timeline starts to feel rushed, it makes sense to cut out those “simple” things, right?

Hear me out. Your wedding day is the ONE day of your life that you reeeeally go all out on yourself. The hair, the makeup THE DRESS!!!

Take advantage sis. Take those bridal portraits!!

Besides, how cool will it be to show your grandkids how stunning you were on your wedding day someday?!

Dads are a special breed. They wear a lot of different hats, not only in wedding days, but all year long!!

In wedding days, though, they act as the comedian and the place of calm. They laugh and share tears of joy and shed tears for those little pings of sadness too.
