I was up early today to begin arrangements for the Franklin Homestead, Inc. 30th anniversary celebration. In case anyone was wondering, I listen to heavy metal and hard rock when I arrange 😂🥴 Not sure, but it works!

Start to finish(ish)- a new project! My husband got me this beautiful sandalwood flower press and I’m ready to experiment. Good timing because with life happenings, I didn’t plant much this year and am dying for a creative flower outlet! What should I create first with these in a couple weeks??

I’ve missed the mark in a few things this spring- boutonnières and corsages, funerals, overall quality. It’s hard when this happens and I feel bad for those who trust me and are disappointed and the product. Needless to say, I have learned A LOT from these mishaps and have truly taken these lessons to heart. I thank everyone for their patience with me, and know that I will only get better when you give me the chance!

That said- I have had a few things where I feel like I really NAILED IT. Normally I wouldn’t say that, but happy brides mean you did good work! It was exhausting and so invigorating at the same time, and I was so honored to do all the flowers for these brides!

Turns out I can wrap bouquets too! I’m so used to vases but wrapped bouquets have a different feel for some reason and I like it!

Good morning! I wanted to let everyone know that, in honor of Maycember, I will not be doing Mothers Day bouquets this year. I’ve thought a lot about it and with a busy month, I did not feel I could produce the product I want for you all if I did.

I also am planning to use the time to work on my garden instead- with hopes of bringing you garden-fresh bouquets all summer! This was my original intent and dream for Brighter Day Blooms, and I want to focus more on that this summer. Please stay with me- I’m not done doing specialty bouquets for all your occasions!

Thank you all for your continued support. My only goal is to help brighten someone’s day 💗💐

Another funeral for an absolute treasure to this world. It’s always an honor, but this was truly a pleasure and a labor of love.

Floral sprays have always intrigued me and this was a learning experience for me! Too bad I still can’t photograph worth anything 😂

I hope these brought a little joy to those in need these days. May love and light find you in the darkest of days.

Happy New Year! I’m so excited for this year, for a little more experience under my belt, for bigger garden space, and all you lovely people who have trusted me with your flower needs (and letting me experiment and learn at your expense 😂)!

I’ve been doing some research and getting excited for spring planting- because spring isn’t that far away! Believe it and just trust me. There’s plenty to do right now to keep up the motivation and get through these long, dark, cold days. I’ll be posting soon about my winter sowing tasks- come along with me on this new journey!

The other thing that’ll be here before we know it- Valentine’s Day! ❤️❤️❤️ I’ll be placing orders for bulk flowers and making plans for arrangements soon, and I am now taking orders! A fresh bouquet for a very special lady! My Aunt Peggy has been one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders for , and just in life in general. Today I was able to take my kids to visit her at her incredible dream home on the most beautiful lake. It was a perfect day, and filled my bucket. And what kind of a guest would I be if I didn’t bring fresh flowers?? 💗💐

Yet more funeral arrangements. Always an honor to create.

There was a lady bug on the flowers I picked of my own for these and kept buzzing around, and I once had a dear friend tell me that lady bugs are someone visiting you that has passed. That felt pretty cool while I was making these. I really try to be on the other side of the arrangements I create, putting myself in the shoes of whomever is receiving them or being celebrated by them. I find it really helps me put my whole heart and soul into what I’m doing. And I always hope to help create a brighter day. 💗💐🦋
