The Bayou Bend Conference Center is excited to introduce our new Event Coordinator, Kate Scelfo.

Kate, a native of Franklin, graduated from Hanson Memorial High School and received her degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University. After teaching English in Seoul, South Korea for three years, Kate returned to Louisiana where she became the Senior Program Coordinator and Special Assistant to the Vice President at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Kate brings a wealth of event coordination knowledge and unparalleled customer service to the Bayou Bend Conference Center. With a handful of events already under her belt, it is clear that Kate has a love and appreciation for her hometown community, and we look forward to the many events she will help facilitate in the future.

Last Saturday's Shake Your Sneakers event featuring Johnny Chauvin Music with special guests Meredith Boudreaux and Ed Gore was truly something special!

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who made the evening possible and who helped us raise $20,332.25 for the St. Mary Council on Aging!

Tonight's the Night! Join us for the party of the year: Shake Your Sneakers!

Join us tonight (Saturday, July 20th), from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Wellness Center at Bayou Bend for food, a cash bar, raffles, and live music by Johnny Chauvin with special guests Ed Gore and Meredith Boudreaux! Proceeds from the evening will go to St. Mary Council on Aging.

🎫 General Admission is donation-based at the door: Give what you can and shake your sneakers all night!

👟 Dress is casual so you can show off those tennis shoes! Wear your coolest sneakers for a chance to win "Best Sneakers!"

We would like to take a moment and offer our sincerest gratitude to all the donors who are generously providing a delicious spread for the event: Forest Restaurant, Raintree Market, Stazione Deli, Bayou Bella Catering LLC, and Cypress Island Eatz LLC. Thank you all for helping us ensure a fantastic evening for our guests and for supporting the St. Mary Council on Aging!
