Woodlawn Couple Spotlight ๐ค: Nate & Olivia met online in Spring 2019. They talked for about a week and then went on their first date at Five Guys and a movie in Teays Valley. After that date, they were inseparable. Their wedding date is their 5 year anniversary and they canโt wait to see what their future holds! ๐ฅ Congratulations to you two!

FRI-YAY ๐ We love Friday weddings here at Woodlawn and we canโt wait to celebrate these two! Hereโs their story ๐ค Zach & Molly always went to the same school and actually grew up only a couple miles from each other. They met again in college through mutual friends and have been inseparable since that first day. They found out that all of their plans aligned and things just fell into place from there!

| Bryan & Jayla | 5.4.24 ๐ค Hereโs their story: We met how any 21st century couple does, Tinder. After texting for weeks, we finally decided to meet at our local Mexican restaurant for our first date. We were complete opposites, with Bryan loving trading card games, Star Wars, and video games while I was drowning in school work with no time for hobbies. We found a balance through each other where he taught me how to make time for myself to explore new interest and he started to reshape his future and went back to school for education. We have spent the last 3 years finishing our degrees (I graduated last week and he graduates next year), loving our 2 pets (Rosa and Booker), and making memories with any free time we found.

We officially kicked off our 2024 wedding season by celebrating these two! ๐ฅ๐ค The beginning of April has been some wild weather but the winds and rains held off for this perfect Mid-April union complete with all the vintage touches and a crew of incredible vendors!

This past weekend we had the honor of hosting the Morgan family for their Thanksgiving meal prepared by Valley Cakes & Cafe. The family gave us this gift as a show of appreciation. Once I saw it, I couldnโt help but go outside and give a little update! Check out our story for the bts video ๐ฅ

We love hosting weddings at Woodlawn, especially when itโs one of our own ๐ Congratulations to these two!! Donnie and Hallie met through mutual friends. After their first date, they realized they had a lot in common as single parents, blue collar business owners, beliefs and interests. The feelings between the two grew stronger more by the day. They eventually introduced their children to each other, and an instant family was born. The missing pieces in their lives were finally found. A few months went by and Donnie popped the question. They (and their kiddos) are so excited to make it official and for this new chapter of their lives together as a forever family!

Woodlawn at harvest time ๐ As the temperatures drop a little we have added our tent sidewalls and tower heaters underneath to take the edge off of those chilly evening receptions. The results keep that elegant outdoor feel all the while warming up the space about 15-20 degrees warmer than outside! Have questions about our venue? Julie and Zach were classmates starting in 8th grade and became acquainted in high school band. The two were basically strangers until the final night of band camp their senior year when senior members gave speeches to commemorate four years at camp. Julie listened as Zach shared how much the band and music helped him grow as a person, and she knew she would be stuck on him. The entirety of senior year went by with Zach not knowing how Julie felt. After graduation, Julie regretted never sharing her feelings for him. She messaged him one night in June 2017 (at 11 pm.. a detail Zach insists gave her intentions away) to ask if they could hang out. They met at the Hurricane City park and spent several evenings that summer going to movies, restaurants, parks, and marching band shows. At the 2017 DCI Drums Across the Tri-State, Zach asked Julie to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history! They spent 4 years living in two different cities before Julie returned to the area for graduate school in 2021. The two were engaged at Winfield High School's 2021 Band Camp, where their story got started!

Excited to celebrate Ian & Taylor this weekend ๐๐ Hereโs their story: Sooooo.. Ian & I met in the most awkward year of our lives; 7th grade. Middle school is not for the weak so it was not rainbows and butterflies in the beginning lol. We actually were arch enemies till about 8th grade. He was the mouthy โbad boyโ and I was the โprim and properโ girl who had just moved to our school in the 7th grade. A year goes by, and he somehow got my number and it kind of took off from there. After talking for about a month, he had asked me to be his girlfriend over text. I told him I didnโt want to date just yet; so 5 months roll by and we are still talking and heโs still wanting to date. THIS is what I wanted to be sure about lol. And yes! We were only 14! So, we went on a Snowshoe field trip with the 8th grade class and we went up on the ski lift together and I had finally said yes, we can date lol. This was February 28th of 2014, so Fast forward to almost 10 years later and weโre getting married in 4 days! We both have never been so sure about something when it comes to being with one another because itโs always been me and him. We are so excited to celebrate and to be celebrated by loved ones on Saturday ๐

Andrew & Emily both grew up in families of four (each being the younger brother/sister) Emily grew up in Evans, WV and Andrew in Pinch, WV. Both Craddock and Stevens families loved the Lord and they saw the real love of Jesus through their parents. They both were raised in church with wonderful memories of church camps, friends, and most importantly, Jesus being the center. You can catch them drinking strong coffee or making their own popcorn. Andrew's true delight is removing Emily's tags from clothes or shoes. Emily's true delight is beating him in the card game, Golf. (which always happens..) If you listen close enough, Emily will probably be humming a worship song while Andrew a movie soundtrack. Both nerds in their own right, they'll affectionately call each other Han and Leia, so if she says "I love you" and he says "I know." don't be alarmed.. it's a term of endearment ๐ค๐ค Believe it or not, they met 10 years ago in October, the same month theyโre getting married! Their paths, each including their own mountains and valleys, crossed and little did they know, their wedding would be a decade later. He truly works all things together for our good.

Logan and Jadyn met in high school and started dating. They both enjoy hiking so when Logan proposed, he got down on one knee in front of a beautiful waterfall at New River Gorge. Now, almost a year later, they are about to say their โI Doโsโ

Yesterday was a dream ๐๐ฉต๐๐งก Kelsey and Brandon tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with family and friends at our historic estate! The florals by Marci from Three Little Birds in Milton tied in beautifully with the theme for the day! Wedding coordination and setup was done by Christy with Enchanted Events and the graze table was beautifully done by Boujee Boards by Roz! Also it was breakfast for dinner under the tent by the fantastic catering team! Congratulations to the two love birds!
