a little 🐝 cuteness for your fri-yay
Flowers will be on the Wagon starting Saturday at 10!
📍 9355 Pear Lane Frederick, MD
Little guys & gals like these are the main reason I try not to spray any pesticides at all, even organic ones. Spring can be a really tough time to sit back & watch all the pest bugs start in on your garden. But I know from years of experience that the good guys aren’t far behind if you just give them time! So now I’ve got tons of praying mantis babies, ladybugs, lacewings & more ready to do their job & get rid of those bad bugs for me the natural way 😉

Can you believe this bouquet is over a week old? The flowers were actually all cut NINE days ago! Farm fresh bouquets really do have such a better life span than store bought. Farm to table, that’s what we like 😉
You can grab fresh bouquets 2 ways this weekend: tonight I will be at the Night Market hosted by @chappelleandco with a Build Your Own Bouquet Bar & the Wagon will be open as usual Saturday & Sunday 10-8 at 9355 Pear Lane Frederick
So come on out, shop local, shop small!

Here's what's on the Wagon today, Saturday June 24.
I hope these bouquets bring as much joy into your homes as they give me growing, harvesting & arranging them 🥰
All flowers are grown on my property, by me, using no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. All bouquets come in an upcycled glass container 🌍 🐞
Prices range from $5-15 this week & we accept cash & Venmo on the Wagon.
We're open Saturday & Sunday 10am- sold out.
We're located at 9355 Pear Lane in Frederick (the best city around if you ask me).
To my repeat customers: thank you, thank you, thank you. It's your support that allows me to play in the garden & with flowers all my days & really what more could a girl ask for?
To my new customers: what are you waiting for?
Get out here & get some flowers 💐
It might be my favorite day of the year!!! My birds are back baby!
These little babies flying circles around my property are called Chimney Swifts. They’re the Taylor of the bird world if you ask me. Anyways… aside from being total cuties these little birds can eat up to 12,000 bugs a day! And if you live in the middle of the woods and are trying to build a garden free of pesticides then you can’t really get better besties than these guys. They nest in tall, hollow structures since their feet make it impossible for them to perch like other birds. Using their saliva they make little nests on the side of the structure. Since the rapid building of the last few years, removing the woods all over, their numbers have greatly declined. So when we found out the first summer we lived here that there were some living in our chimney I knew I was going to do whatever I needed to to keep them here! We have a double chimney flue- one to our wood burning stove & another to an old unused fireplace. When we got our chimney capped I had them cut a hole in my brand new cap specifically so these guys would have a place to call home every summer. If you come to my house in the evening you’ll often find me staring up at the sky, with a smile on my face, so grateful that “my birds” are here.
