"Today, I said goodbye to my grandfather. He passed away from a broken heart after losing my grandmother this past June. They were married for 71 incredible years. ❤️

Before my grandmother passed, a nurse asked her, 'Wow, 71 years of marriage—you must have really gotten along so well.' My grandmother laughed and replied, 'Quite the opposite. We disagreed on a lot, but he's my best friend, and at the end of the day, nothing else matters.' 💫

They were each other’s one true love, each other’s best friend, and the greatest example of what love and partnership should be. It is my hope that we can all find and hold on to this kind of love, both in this life and the next. 🤍✨"
