Hazel is not a fan of all this rain and now her foster mom is making her wear this crazy jacket. 😁
Hazel's decompression continues to go well. She loves people and knows her basic commands. She even offered me her paw today when I was taking to long giving her a potty treat because I was trying to take her picture. 😂

Hazel update!
Hazel is doing great, tummy troubles gone and solid poops! (I decided to spare you the photo Santa sent me me of this triumph 😂) We have moved her to tje regular homecooked food I make for Silas.
She is definitely less frenetic and and beginning to learn how to relax again. Santa David is still her absolute favorite person on the planet, but at least I think I have finally moved solidly into the spare hoomon category. 🤣
Today she actually helped herself to the toy box and began bringing them to chew next to me, one by one. 😁
We are still not attempting to integrate her and Silas as we want to ensure she is completely decompressed and feeling her true self before taking that big step.

Welcome our newest foster, Hazel. Hazel was super stressed at the shelter to the extent of vomiting and diarrhea and constant panting and pacing. We were told what she desperately needed was a quiet place to decompress. Our house is about as quiet as they come, so here she is, already showing slow signs of improvement. Her digestive system has greatly improved in just the short time she has been here. She still has a lot of frenetic energy, but has also been able to allow herself short periods of rest. Of course her absolute favorite person is Santa David . He is the dog whisperer. 😉
In another week or so we are also taking in another foster, Splash. You may remember we temp fostered him for a few days a couple years ago. Splash is an amazing, chill, loveable boy who will be a wonderful addition to someone's home. I will update more on our adventures in fostering as things progress.
