Top-coating is the final and most nerve-wracking step of the whole process! To do it wrong (which it can go wrong so many ways) means sanding the piece down and doing it all over again- which takes so long!
This table top required two coats- one for the bottom and one for the top- but WOW does it look good!
Top coat is counter-top epoxy- so this bride can enjoy her wedding flowers every day with her morning cup of coffee.

When working with this volume of resin- personal protective gear is very important!
I recently noticed that I would start to develop āpink eyeā symptoms after working with resin for long periods of time. Hence adding the goggles to my PPE arsenal. It might look excessive, but now I have no more eye issues! Surprise, surprise. š¤Ŗ
I love how hands-on this medium of art is. Iām also grateful to be able to do it safely. By the time you receive your artwork, I have already made sure it has been given the necessary time to cure so that it is not toxic to you either!

I know this is a heavy thingā¦but we must not trivialize the importance of honoring and remembering. Part of healing is treasuring and retelling your story. When they sit at night to read a book or put on a show- a glance at the flowers is another reminder of that beautiful relationship.
Every single time memorial flowers have been dropped off with me, it has been a moment of grief, tears, and storytelling. I get many apologies, but I want all my clients to knowā¦your story is not a burden to me. The emotional drop-off was not ātoo muchā or even unexpected. This really is as hard as it looks. I legit need to do some hand strengthening exercises because some of these molds Iāve only ever had my husband de-mold.
Why do I buy more expensive molds that I canāt even de-mold myself you might ask? Because they last wayyy longer than the cheapo Amazon ones and get consistently perfect dimensions 100% of the time.
