Sparkle on Stage, Inc. is a non-profit organization composed of community members who are dedicated to serving the arts. Our mission is to Enrich, Empower, and Entertain our community by providing a home for the cultural arts.

We provide an outlet for voices in the community that may otherwise go unheard. Our advocacy for the arts makes us a vital and creative resource for our residents. From our performances to our gallery walls to our furnishings, a visit to our center is an enriching experience.

As a community cultural arts center, Sparkle on Stage provides quality musical, cultural, and informational programming that celebrates the diversity of our Long Island community.

Sam’s Scoops opened this past May. Hershey’s Ice Cream has been a tradition on the Nautical Mile for over 21 years, as it was the ice cream of choice when Pip’s was still in business. When PIPS left the mile, it left a large void and the owners were kind enough to pass their family business onto the Workman family to create a new home for Hershey’s. The J.A.S. Voice Studio is a voice education and audition coaching space that allows for the individual talents of each artist to be cultivated! Ruben Fernandez (He/She/They) is ecstatic to perform at Pride on the Mile as a proud and openly q***r person! They have performed and choreographed across Long Island and will soon be making his Long Island directorial debut with In the Heights this upcoming year with their best friend and sister, Camilla Montoya. Other Credits include: Henrietta in My True Love: A Perfect Musical Fairytale (Off-Broadway) Angel in Rent, We Beseech Thee in Godspell, Martha Dunstock in Heathers: The Musical. Joseph is excited to bring a little pride to your holiday season! He is one of the Co-Founders and Lead Facilitators of Pride On The Mile, which is heading into it’s 3rd season! Joseph recently had the privilege of directing an intimate interpretation of Beauty & The Beast featuring many of the folks you’ll have the pleasure of seeing perform! Other recent credits: “Bring America Together”, a song & music video project made with the intention of bringing folks together featured on News 12 Long Island, Prince Hilarion (operatic lead debut) in Princess Ida with Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of LI, Josh Groban’s Harmony Tour at Radio City Music Hall. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work at LIU Post and has the honor of being co-creator/co-runner of the Parent To Parent Special Needs Support Group right in Freeport which was featured in the LI Herald. Joseph is the proud Dad Jojo to his 4 sons, along side his amazing husband José. He dedicates his work in the LGBTQ+ & mental health spaces to the beautiful family he is privileged to call his own, and to the countless & stunning rainbow families out there of all colors, sizes, and creeds. We all deserve our seat at the table, even if we need to build our own. Huge thanks to all the incredible artists who’ve lent their time and talent to this fundraiser and to Pride On The Mile. She has choreographed and performed in numerous musical productions and is excited to be directing and choreographing her favorite show, In the Heights, alongside her best friend, Ruben Fernandez, next year. Trish is a Long Island native who has been performing for over 15 years. In 2018 she released her first full length album titled Route 24 with her band Trish Torrales and the Blackstones. Trish has competed on shows such as American Idol and MTV’s Copycat, and debuted her music on local radio stations such as Q1043. In 2018 Meg joined Trish as musical partners as well as life partners. Meg and Trish married in September of 2023 and perform regularly together as an acoustic duo. This is Trish and Meg’s second time performing with Pride On The Mile.

Calvin Zanetti is very excited to be apart of Pride On The Mile’s holiday cabaret. His previous works include originating the roles of Peter Pan in Off-Broadway’s “Pandemonium”, and Anthony in “Sonder.” Other notable works you’ve seen him in on Long Island include the titular roles in Jekyll and Hyde The Musical and Shrek the Musical, Titanic the Musical, Urinetown, Hello, Dolly!, The Music Man, She Loves Me, and Peter and the Starcatcher. He would like to dedicate every performance to his grandfather, who always believed in him.

Ronell, who graduated Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Musical Theatre, is excited to be performing alongside this talented group of singers at Pride on the Mile. Last seen as the Princess who Kissed the Frog in Disenchanted! at James Street Players, she continues to make waves in Long Island theatre and performance. Ronell gives thanks to God and all her friends and family who continue to support her endeavors.
