Thrift Shop Friends-
If you have been a fan of our store for many years, then I know you remember these faces. If you are new to our store, this is Connie and Billie Clem. Connie and Billie started this thrift store many years ago in the form of a garage sale. Over the years, with their endless hard work, it grew into the storefront where we are today. We lost Billie in 2014, and Connie retired from the thrift store life not too long after that, but their legacy has been carried on by many more volunteers who shared their love of animals. On January 12, Connie left to join his beloved wife of 51 years, and I'm sure every animal they loved, every animal they saved, were lining the streets of gold to watch their reunion.
This store, their legacy, is now providing a quarter of the yearly operating budget for the SPCA of Brazoria County. One small shop that is only open two days a week. That is a pretty big legacy to leave, and it all started with two people and a garage sale. In memory of Connie and Billie Clem, please consider donating your unused clothing and household goods to our store, or a monetary donation to the SPCA of Brazoria County.
