A music festival in Freeport, Illinois. 100 miles west of Chicago, 50 miles east of Dubuque, Iowa, 90 miles north of the Quad Cities, and 60 miles south of Madison, Wis. Supporting Americana, Texas Country, and Red Dirt Oklahoma music. The 2012 lineup was:

Music Fans rallied and now our favorite musicians are going from dive bars to Nashville stages. It's exactly what we wanted for them. Higher pay, bigger audiences, good country music prevailing.

It's come with a few unrealized downsides.

Little fests are being replaced with mega fests that are stacked with everyone we love. It's been harder for the those of us watching every penny. I'm super happy for friends who can afford a $2k+ package but I surely can't. Join Red Dirt Music Festival Insiders. Our community can help you find them.

Those small venues and promoters (✋️) who supported indy country 15+ years ago, can't afford to compete. We're happy for the artists but sad for our futures. So many are struggling right now to keep the doors open.

I'm asking fans of indy country to support the music festivals created by indy owners, fans, and artists. Doubly music festivals in struggling towns. Just look at the economic impact LJT has on Stephenville. After all, our scene isn't about the big guys. It's anti big guys, remember?

I'm asking artists to please support the little and O.G. venues. Not every time, make that money Your fans fell in love with you because you're unique. It just makes sense.

Lastly, I'm asking venues and promoters not to give up. I have a heart to believe that if you need help, the fans will come calling. Without you, how will we find the "next big thing"?

Our Story

Just two girls, spreading their love of music and their town.

Freeport, Illinois is centrally located, 100 miles west of Chicago, Illniois; 50 miles east of Dubuque, Iowa; 90 miles north of the Quad Cities; and 60 miles south of Madison, Wis. We’re known for our rolling hills and craft beer. After spending the last 7 years growing the scene here with individual concerts, we’re ready to bring a great line-up up north for all the Midwest fans. Supporting Americana, Texas Country, Outlaw Country, and Red Dirt Oklahoma music.
