The Miss Prosper Celina Organization
The Miss Prosper Celina Organization is an official local preliminary competition to Miss America and Miss America's Teen. We are a non-profit organization with a mission to empower young women through the four points of the Miss America Crown - Style, Service, Scholarship, and Success. By providing educational scholarships, community services opportunities, and professional and personal growth training, we are Empowering Women to Lead.
Prosper and Celina will soon need to be runway ready, as the respective cities will soon be crowning Miss Prosper and Miss Celina.
Ashlee Hardaway, co-executive director of the Miss Prosper-Celina organization, announced that the inaugural competition will take place on Nov. 23 at the Frisco Performing Arts Center (9360 Pasadena).
"We wanted to bring the Miss America Opportunity to the Prosper and Celina communities because we believe in the power of the Miss America Organization,” Hardaway said.
Hardaway is an official local license of the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen Competitions – the largest provider of college scholarships to young women in the nation.
The competition will crown the first Miss Prosper, Miss Celina, Miss Prosper’s Tee and Miss Celina’s Teen. Hardaway said these titleholders will serve the communities and represent the state at Miss Texas and Miss Texas’ Teen in June 2025.
Hardaway competed in the Miss America organization at both the Miss and Teen levels from 2014-19. She later went on to serve as a volunteer from 2020-24.
Jennifer Gilchrist, co-executive director, has been involved in the organization for more than two decades as both a contestant and volunteer.
“We have both seen the impact this organization has on young women, not only through scholarship opportunities, but through the teaching of valuable life skills such as public speaking, volunteerism, healthy competition, determination, hard work, and sportsmanship,” Hardaway said.
