Thanksgiving Day is a time for reflection of all the things we are forever thankful. We started planning our daughter‘s wedding on the farm for the summer of 2012. What we thought was a once and done event, unfolded a different plan for our field of dreams. After several years of tent rentals, and a temporary dance floor, we finally decided to construct our building. Now we are entering our 14th year as a wedding venue. Every year has had major additions and upgrades.
We appreciate all the couples who have helped us grow through the years and have trusted us with your special event! For those considering The Back Farm on Piney Run for your celebration, check back soon for an upcoming promotion!

Congratulations to Taylor and Jacob Wilkins. Yesterday was the final wedding at The Back Farm for this year. The fall foliage was not as brilliant as other years, due to the lack of rain. Thank you for selecting our venue for your special day. Your decorations were beautiful and you were blessed with a beautiful sunset.  Just a small reminder how God shows his love for us.

We are accepting bookings for 2026 and 2027. Because we are in Garrett County we are open in the middle of May through the middle of October. We would love for you to schedule a tour to see our venue. There are a limited number of dates available in 2026. If you book now for 2027 we will honor the 2026 price. Please share.

Happy two week anniversary to Natalie Ramsey and Logan Two years ago they were in the wedding party of Emily and Frankie Crim. Natalie and Logan came to visit The Back Farm when Emily and Frankie booked their wedding. When they saw the venue, they knew right away they wanted to come back for their wedding. We are very thankful to couples who choose our venue to make their wedding memories. It was great to see Emily and Frankie again.

We have some great news to share with you!

Three years ago, Eastern Garrett County Fire and Rescue Department began working with us, here, at The Back Farm on Piney Run, to provide fresh, clean, bagged ice for the convenience of our weekly couples. Ice cost is typically $6-7 per bag, but most families donate much more than that when using the ice provided by the Fire Hall. We would like to thank all of our families for helping us raise over $2500 for EGVFRD in 2024! Your ice donations have helped supplement costs for important safety equipment for OUR firefighters in OUR community! We are asking our 2025 renters to help us shatter last year’s total. Let the Back Farm and EGVFRD take one more thing off your to do list, while supporting this wonderful organization!
