Lake Elsinore Wedding
The bride and groom are vegan and wanted to ensure their guests a delicious dinner while still adhering to their dietary beliefs. They also had a lot of guests with allergies. We met several times to go over the menu and fine tune it, to ensure that everyone would be able to enjoy a delicious meal. I love this process, because it really allows me to get to know my clients. The evening was absolutely beautiful. Even with a little rain shower just as we were about to serve outdoors, we shifted a bit, and dinner was served on time.

Well I've gone and done it again. Faced a fear. I really dislike my voice, yet here I am yammering on about myself in a public setting. I was a caterer for Rick's birthday recently. He & his wife are wonderfully engaging, and I was thrilled to say yes when he asked if I would be a subject for his podcast. Definitely check out his other episodes, I really love the questions he poses and the research he does.

I wanted to do this podcast. mainly because I've had quite the ride these last 5 years. It isn't really about food. It's about starting over. As many times as it takes. And I've learned so many lessons. Knowing I'm not alone in this demographic... if I help one person, it is enough.

And by the way, what are the chances that one of my childhood friends would release a podcast she was interviewed for on the very same day? For those of you who love to travel, but are afraid to go it alone... I think you will be inspired.

By the way, another friend reminded me that today is the 50th anniversary since women have been able to sign their own checks, have their own bank account, and qualify for their own mortgage.

A beautiful wedding at one of my favorite venues, .

I love working with the couples who hire me to bring their vision to fruition. Katie and Rachel welcomed me into their home for two tastings to make sure the menu was perfect. We were working with gluten intolerance, vegan and vegetarian needs. They wanted a family style menu that reflected themselves and the season.

I wanted to showcase this beautiful cake because Marissa, who has been doing many of my specialty baked goods for the last 3 years, recently launched her own shop. I'm so lucky to have such a talented network of colleagues. It takes a village!

We had a lovely day in Santa Barbara. Even with last minute venue reorganization to accommodate a protest, things came together in this lovely setting at City Hall. I snapped most of these shots before final presentation, so please excuse the naughty blueberry. I guess he was just adamant about having a better view to watch the ceremony. ;)

We cater all over Southern California and I always enjoy the drive up the coast.
