CSUF Titan High School Honor Band
The California State University Fullerton Bands are pleased to announce the Second-Annual CSUF Titan High School Honor Band!
We are excited to invite your students to join us!
The CSUF Titan High School Honor Band will rehearse at the CSUF School of Music according to the following rehearsal schedule:
April 12th, 2024 – 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
April 13th, 2024 – 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Lunch Included)
The Titan High School Honor Band will perform at Meng Concert Hall on the CSUF Campus on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 8:00 PM in concert with the CSUF Band Chamber Ensembles.
Participation and seating in the honor band will be determined by director recommendation. We ask high school band directors recommend no more than three to four students, which will allow students from a variety of schools to participate. Directors will be asked to use a ranking system for their musician recommendations, with the top two students guaranteed admission to the ensemble. Those ranked 3 or 4 will be admitted based upon space in the ensemble. We ask that each director recommend students whose talent, musicality, and maturity will allow them to be successful in a serious honor band environment.
Please see the honor band recommendation form: https://forms.gle/fWXkgBxHDet7cg386
Participation in the CSUF Titan Honor Band requires a $40 payment. The fee includes a T-Shirt and Lunch on Saturday (April 13th). Director recommendations are due by January 17th, 2024 (11:59 PM). Ensemble parts will be distributed electronically. Payment information will be distributed once the ensemble has been seated.
All ensemble information can be found via the CSUF Titan High School Honor Band Page on the CSUF School of Music Website: https://www.fullerton.edu/.../stu.../hs_honor_band/index.php

Music-making is a life-long pursuit and the Cal State Fullerton School of Music wants every student, regardless of their major, to have an opportunity to continue playing. The University Band (MUS 406U) is designed and structured with this in mind. The ensemble is primarily made up of non-music majors representing the entire campus community. Some music majors also enroll, often performing on a secondary instrument to strengthen their skills as future music educators. The ensemble is conducted by Dr. Dustin Barr and assisted by graduate conducting students, making it a unique learning opportunity for ensemble members and conductors alike.
The band meets on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:50pm. There are no auditions for membership, though a small audition may be required to determine part assignments. The time commitment outside of class consists of one or two concerts per semester.
Instruments are available for a reasonable rental fee from Chris Searight, CPAC-113, [email protected].

You do not need to pass a vocal audition to be a member of The Singing Titans Chorus. Because it is a class led by a full-time faculty member of the School of Music, basic and advanced singing techniques will be included in rehearsals, as well as musicianship and sight singing instruction.
The Cal State Fullerton Singing Titans (formally the Titan Men’s Chorus) is a choir class offered for academic credit through the Cal State Fullerton School of Music. The choir sings and performs a variety of choral music (both accompanied and a cappella) in the traditional male tenor and bass ranges. Membership in the choir is available to any student, any major, and any gender. The choir is made up of both music majors and non-music majors, and many people choose to sing with the choir over multiple semesters because it is fun, and they often make new and lasting friendships.
